When it comes to thinking about gifts for Easter, the first thing that springs to my mind is, of course, chocolate Easter eggs. After all, as soon as Christmas Day has finished supermarkets have them for sale on their shelves , so it is no surprise that they are the most common gift to give to people as an Easter present.
I love an excuse to buy presents for my friends and family, but there are some people who are hard to buy for. I find it very easy choosing gifts for my boys and my female friends and family members, but when it comes to my OH and my brother I really struggle because what do you buy for men who have everything they need already because they won’t wait for it to be bought for them?
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time of year for love, romance, and of course – lots of chocolate and sweet treats! There are plenty of reasons to treat your loved ones and cook up a storm in the kitchen, but Valentine’s Day has to be one of the best.
At the start of the summer holidays we had a couple of weeks where the weather was mostly wet, dull and well rubbish! However, to be fair since then we have had lots of sunny and warm days without any rain, so it came with a bit of a shock the morning to awake to a slightly darker morning and the sound of rain outside my bedroom window.
Chocolates play a big part of Christmas really, don’t they? I mean, every supermarket sells those big tins full of assorted wrapped chocolates for you to buy early, and keep hidden away until Christmas. Mind you more often than not I end up buying two because one normally gets eaten way before advent starts!!!
