These pretty little Pink Ombre Madeleines would make a lovely addition to any birthday party, afternoon tea or mini celebration.
It is semi finals week already! This makes me a little sad, for it means that GBBO 2018 is almost finished for another year. However, for my waistline it is probably a good thing, because all this baking while delicious is not good for my figure! This week is also Patisserie Week and I have attempted a new bake this time, with my Pink Ombre Madeleines.
This pretty in Pink Kit Kat Celebration Cake is a perfect birthday or celebration cake for fans of girly colours, pink kitkats and sprinkles.
It was my birthday last month, and due to going away on my actual birthday I did not have a cake. Well, you cannot not have birthday cake for your birthday can you? Therefore, once I returned home the next day, I set about making myself one and this is how this Pink Kit Kat Celebration Cake came about.
This zesty Lemon and Buttermilk Traybake is so moist, light and tangy. It would be perfect for an afternoon tea or even to sell at a fete or coffee morning.
This recipe came about for two reasons. Firstly, I had some buttermilk that needed using up, and rather than make scones or soda bread or even banana bread, I wanted to make a cake. Secondly, I had been asked to make lemon sponge birthday cake earlier this week, and it has been so long since I had made one myself, that I was really fancying one. Therefore, I decided to make a Lemon and Buttermilk Traybake.
This gorgeous Coconut Hummingbird Cake is surprisingly light considering it has pineapple, bananas and coconut inside the sponges. With its tropical flavours, it will make you think of summer days and holidays as you enjoy a slice with a cuppa!
I am always on the lookout for new ways of using up fruit that is either going fast its best, or waste well received with my fussy eaters. This tasty Coconut Hummingbird Cake actually uses bananas and pineapple so it is a great way of not only using up any leftover fruit, but it is also incorporating more fruit into a cake which, if like me your children do not like pineapple normally, with a cake like this it is a way of getting them to eat it but in disguise!
A cake for all fans of chocolate orange flavours and of course Jaffa cakes , this Jaffa Cake Celebration Cake is perfect for a special occasion.
I actually made this cake a little while ago for a friend’s birthday. Being a massive fan of Jaffa cakes and all things chocolate and orange, I decided to bake him a Jaffa Cake Celebration Cake in recognition of his love of these delicious sweet things.
