This time last year we still had Sky TV, and this meant access to some channels that we no longer have. One of these was the Disney channel, and it introduced Burton and Jenson to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Both boys still think back to those happy months of being able to watch the Disney Channel, and in fact just the other day, I over heard Jenson telling his friend that we used to watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates too, it was one of my favourites!!!
Whenever I am asked what the boys might like for their birthdays, or when I am choosing a gift for one of their friends, I always say, and select, books. Unlike many toys already in their possession, I think you can never have too many books so to me it is a great gift to give to someone, especially children.
I love it when I hear Burton and Jenson playing together – they put on high pitched voices (no idea why!) and role play little scenes, and I love to stand and watch them through the slit of the door by the hinges, when they cannot see me standing there! Therefore, when I was asked if they would like to review the Imaginext Lions Den Castle Review by Fisher Price, I knew that this would appeal to their imagination and that they would have a lot of fun from playing with it, both together and on their own.
I was sent a Dalek Mould to review from the exclusive Lakeland Dr Who baking range, and last weekend to mark the 50th anniversary episode on the BBC I made a chocolate dalek cake . However, being something of a chocolate fiend and being quite partial to peppermint white chocolate thanks to this yummy Christmas gift idea, I decided to make a Christmas peppermint chocolate dalek.
Thank you xx
