This Cherry and Chocolate Mummy Pie has been inspired by Halloween for a bit of easy dessert fun. Why not give it a try for your family and enjoy seeing the ‘bloody’ cherry filling ooze out!
It is Pastry week on the Great British Bake Off tonight and while the pies featured on the show will be very ornate and pretty, I just did not have the time last weekend to make a show stopper of a pie. Instead I did find time to make this Halloween inspired Cherry and Chocolate Mummy Pie.
This gorgeous Sticky Gingerbread is packed full of warming spices and is delicious. It is perfect for when the weather turns more autumnal.
This delicious Sticky Gingerbread is very easy to make and is perfect for anyone who enjoys the warming flavours of ginger. I have added coconut milk and desiccated coconut to my gingerbread, as I really love how well this compliments the cake and adds an extra flavour dimension. However, this is optional and would work equally as well without any coconut being added.
My Raspberry, Lemon and White Chocolate Roulade is delicious! Mallowy meringue filled with a decadent lemon and white chocolate cream and fresh raspberries, it really is very, very nice.
This dreamy and creamy and yummy Raspberry , Lemon and White Chocolate Roulade was actually not as hard to make as I thought. Having made meringues and pavlovas many times before, it was nice to give this a go to see what it was like. The combination of flavours works really well, so if you have never made a roulade before, give it a try.
These Double Chocolate and Cherry Buns are made with an enriched dough and are delicious served as a weekend breakfast treat, or as an elevenses snack alongside a well earned cuppa.
These Double Chocolate and Cherry Buns are quite easy to make really. Not too much of a faff. I hate faffing about so luckily, despite the 2 proves that they require, they are still relatively uncomplicated to achieve.
Perfect for autumn this Peach Melba Crumble Traybake is a great way of combining cake and a crumble in one easy bake. Served as a dessert or just with a cuppa, this is delicious and simple to make.
So it is week 2 of the Great British Bake Off and it is my favourite one because it is Cake Week. I am sharing my Peach Melba Crumble Traybake with you as my bake along recipe, but before I go into detail about it lets do some GBBO news.
