I often get asked to make celebration cakes for friends, and a while ago I was asked to make a retirement cake for my friend’s Mum who was leaving her job of 30 odd years at a local medical practice. This beautiful Malteser MaltEaster Bunny & Mini Egg Chocolate Cake is very easy to make and perfect for anyone who loves Easter and the chocolates that come with it!

It always irks me how as soon as Boxing Day has passed, you can buy Easter eggs in the shops! Now don’t get me wrong, I love eating a chocolate egg as much as the next chocolate egg eating person, BUT I do feel selling them straight after Christmas is just too early.

Alongside my Christmas Pudding, I like to serve another option for those who are not fans of the more traditional dessert. For me it is always a cheesecake. Last year I served up my Ferrero Rocher Cheesecake, but because I had a lot of children at the table this year (7 to be precise) I opted for a more child (and big kid!) friendly flavour of white chocolate and Maltesers.
