It’s a sad fact that our desserts often get overlooked in comparison to our main courses. And whilst we should all try our hand at creating extravagant creations like Banana Bread Cake with Buttercream every once in a while, it’s also a good idea to have a look out there and see how some of our nation’s best-loved desserts are enjoying a real revival!
So it is week 4 of the Great Bloggers Bake Off 2015 round up, and yet again I am blown away by all of the amazing desserts that were made. So many scrumptious creme brûlées, windtortes and cheesecakes were linked up and it has been hard deciding who will be this weeks Star bakers!! I think I have gained about a stone in virtual screen licking ha ha!
Asides from cake week, my other favourite Great British Bake Off week is of course dessert week. I have such a sweet tooth! When I saw the categories were either creme brûlée, windtorte or baked cheesecake, I knew which one I would go for because I have had the recipe idea in my mind for some time now: an Oreo baked cheesecake …….. mmmmm!
If you have some brioche rolls that are a little stale, why not make them into an indulgent chocolate pudding. My Brioche, Oreo and Chocolate Pudding is such a quick and tasty pudding for all the family to enjoy.
I quite often have bread, rolls or even brioche that needs a little love after it has gone a little stale. rather than throw them away, why mot make them into a delicious family dessert. My Brioche, Oreo and Chocolate Pudding is so easy to make and uses store cupboard ingredients. If you do not have Oreo cookies, why not add banana slices or raspberries?
Welcome to Week 5 of the Great Bloggers Bake Off, the bake along to co-incide with the Great British Bake Off.
This week it is all about pastry and the categories on the show were:
