I am always looking for ways to use up over ripe bananas and since I have had my blog, I have posted many different recipes from cupcakes to cookies, from brownies to bread, but I have never incorporated them into flapjacks before. Well, now I have and I have to say it was a great way to use them up because it turned a humble flapjack into a naturally sweeter and chewier treat!
It is that time of year for wanting food that warms you up, and gives you a little hug as you eat – proper comfort food. Gingerbread is a cake which gives off a little heat from the spicy ginger used in the batter, perfect for a cold day. It makes me think of winter because of the gingerbread lattes that I used to make and sell in my cafe in December as a special.
