Our Holiday Plans for this Year

Seeing as though the warmer weather has made an appearance over the last few days, it has got me thinking about the summer and how I need to get my body summer ready now! All those extra pounds I have gained over the winter months need to be banished, so I am now on a mission to lose some weight and keep running so I can tone up too. That is one great thing about the winter, it is all-out layering and covering up any lumps and bumps with baggy jumpers. However, once the weather warms up, layers are stripped back and all those wobbly bits are more exposed aren’t they?

How My Jeans Make Me Feel

IMG_1062

Since I became a Mum I have had a real love/hate relationship with my body. I know that a mix of post baby stretching and shrinking, and my age means that my body is not amazing in any way now, and is never going to be as firm and shapely as it once was back in my 20’s.  But that is ok. I have accepted it for what it is, and I do not hate it as much as I did or have done since I became a Mummy.

Polarn O.Pyret Wind And WaterProof Coat – A Review

Last Autumn we reviewed some wonderful boys clothes from Polarn O. Pyret which the boys are still wearing now. They have worn well so far, survived numerous washes, playtimes, pre school visits and tumble drying and until the boys outgrow them they seem to lasting very well showing what excellent quality they are.
Therefore, when I was asked a couple of weeks ago if Burton would like to try their very season appropriate Wind and Waterproof Coat I jumped at the chance because I knew that I would not be disappointed. And I wasn’t, it is so nice. The colours are bold and primary which is fun for Burton as we have nicknamed it his ‘rainbow coat’ which brings on lots of singing the Peppa Pig Rainbow Song which results in us giggling!
The coat offers some great features which are ideal for days out in this country:
*it is both waterproof and windproof – perfect for the weather we are having at the moment!
*taped seams to keep out the rain and cold
*hood is detachable and adjustable – this is the first coat Burton has had where the hood actually covers his head completely
*fabric is breathable and long lasting – essential with an exuberant toddler as a coat gets a lot of use
*cheeks and chins are protected from chafing by the front zip covering
*waistband, lower hem and sleeve -ends are adjustable
*grip friendly zip pullers
*pre-bent sleeves to help movement – ideal for those kids who like to run, jump and climb
*360 degree visibility reflectors – helping to make your child seen and safe .
It fits Burton really well considering it is size 3-4 and his other coats are size 4-5, and it looks really smart aswell as being very practical
This really is such a brilliant coat for my boy and will serve him well when we are out visiting the park, splashing in puddles or off to the beach and it can be put in the washing machine too which is a relief!! it costs more than what I personally would spend on a coat for Burton, BUT it is made very well and has so many useful features. Plus if it has the same durability that the clothes we currently have from Polarn O.Pyret then it is worth paying more.

*For a limited time this and the other new Polarn O. Pyret new coats have 20% off their RRP – please check the website for further details.*

**Polarn O.Pyret are also offering 15% off your first order with them – please check out the badge in my toolbar (left side)**

I was sent this coat for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are my own and honest.
