I took the boys to Crow Point today because, according to the weather app on my phone, today would be the last dry day until next week. Therefore, I wanted to get out and make the most of it and let them burn off some of there never ending energy!
I have to be honest, despite taking the boys to Crow Point several times now, we have never ventured very far for a walk as usually when we arrive the boys are content just climbing and jumping off rocks, making sandcastles, drawing in the sand with sticks and an hour can pass by very quickly just doing this. However, every time I have been recently, I have wanted to walk on round the beach to see what is further on and to get a better view of Appledore across the estuary.
This morning, I managed to get the boys all the way over there, and we had such an amazing adventure and the 2 1/2 hours we were there just flew past, and I did initially regret not taking a picnic as we could have stayed longer. Mind you, I am glad we didn’t now, because as we approached the car it not only hailed but then there was a massive downpour and we would have got soaked eating our lunch! It was crazy, sunny and warmish one minute with blue skies, and then just as quickly the sky went dark and grey and we got soaked!
Still, we did so many things on our adventure at Crow Point – the boys climbed and jumped off rocks, we made sandcastles, we ran and we walked, we found a shipwreck and the boys climbed and slid down huge sand dunes! It was brilliant fun!
I was sent two hoodies for the boys to review from Saltrock. They are really well made and cosy for the boys, because despite the blue skies and sunshine it was still fairly nippy on the beach. I can honestly say that the tops were really put through their paces and they are both in the washing machine as I type!
Jenson wore this jacket and Burton is modelling this hoodie, both are which are currently in the sale.

What a lovely place to spend the day and perfect for your boys to run around. I love the boat, just perfect for adventures and hiding in and as for the sand dunes who could resist racing down those? I’m glad you managed to explore along the beach and it looks like the boys had a great time. I bought the same blue fleece from Saltrock for my nephew and my kids have lots of their clothes. A great Cornish brand. Lovely to see you back with me on #CountryKids
