So this is my penultimate round up post and I feel kind of sad that the bake of is almost over, and that means this bake along will be over for another year! It is always such fun to watch the show, be inspired and then bake something in the comfort of my own kitchen! Plus I get to see all of the amazing bakes that those who join in with my linky create, which always makes me drool and feel hungry!
Anyway, back to week 9 and Chocolate – mmmmmmm chocolate! For those who cannot remember, the baking categories were:
Chocolate Tart
Souffle
Chocolate Centrepiece Show Stopper
This week saw 21 of us link up a chocolate recipe and they all look so tempting and scrumptious. I feel like Charlie with his chocolate factory ha ha! Thank you to Lucy who hosted this weeks for me. Anyway, without any further ado, here are this weeks Star Bakers:
Chocolate Tart
Seriously the chocolate tarts all looked amazing – it has been really hard to decide a winner, so I am choosing 3 instead! I have decided to go with my 3 favourite flavour combinations and so congratulations to:
Hazel for her Irish Cream Chocolate Tart topped with white chocolate macarons
Tracey for her Chocolate Millionnaires Shortbread
Serena for her Gluten and Dairy Free Salted Caramel and Dark Chocolate Tart
I would happily dive right into all of these tarts – the flavours and their appearance are scummy. However, as I said you all made fabulous tarts and this was not an easy decision.
Souffle
Well, only one of you linked up a recipe for this and that was Cathy with her Mini Chocolate Souffles, which rose so well and look so light and airy. Congratulations on being the Star Baker in this category 🙂
Chocolate Centrepiece Show Stopper
Again, only one of you was brave enough to entertain some chocolate work for the bake off, and I was so impressed with the chocolate peacock feathers and Cardamom and Orange Blossom Shortbread ‘eggs’ plus the chocolate nest. A worthy Star Baker indeed, so well done to Rebecca
**Winners please contact me if you would like a Star Baker badge to display.*
Well done to everyone who joined in – such great baking and thank you for linking up each week x

Brilliant round up as always – totally made my day – I will be walking around smiling all day for my star Baker award. I’ve enjoyed watching bake off less than usual this year as it’s taken me longer to get to know the contestants but I’ve enjoyed baking along more than ever. X
Anca
They all look amazing.
Cathy Glynn
Fabulous entries this week, I couldn’t really fail this week seeing as was the only one to make a soufflé. That said it was my first attempt and delicious. Thank you Jenny, would love my badge x
Louise Fairweather
Loved chocolate week! And Cathy, everyone else was to scared to do soufflés! Well done x
