I do feel that as a Mummy to two boys, we are not given the choice and varied selection of boys clothes that girls clothes are given, certainly on the high street. Step into any store and there seems to be several sections dedicated to girls outfits and accessories, but when you look for boys items there tends to be a much smaller area for them.
However, by venturing on line I have found a much wider selection of cute and smart clothes for my boys which pleases me a lot. Once such company is Boden. Now I have to be honest, I have heard of this company and had it not been for being asked if I would like to be sent some clothes for Burton and Jenson to try, I may not be able to afford to buy from them very often as their prices are a little bit over my normal budget. However, for a special occasion I would consider them as their products are excellent quality and not *that* pricey if you get something in a promotion (I love a bargain!). BUT even better is that by using a company like MyVoucherCodes you can get special discounts on Boden making their range more affordable afterall.
So my parcel arrived a few days ago and I opened it and was excited to see my chosen outfits for my boys
Of course no review is complete without a little modelling so ladies and gentlemen I present to you my mini Boden boys!!
Jenson is wearing a contrast stitch tee shirt and cord baggies. Both of which are colours that I woudn’t normally pick for either boy as I tend to play safe with blues, greys and blacks for trousers. However, I thought it would be nice to try something different especially as Jenson owns brown shoes and a brown coat. The tee shirt is sooo soft and the cords are thick enough for colder days and as you can see he has plenty of room to grow into them (I ordered age 2-3 years in both and he is almost 19 months).
Next up is Burton who wears a logo tee shirt with, I think, a very appropriate logo emblazoned across it! His trousers are brushed tartan cargos which are something I have never seen before and loved as soon as I saw them (and he helped me to choose). Again the tee is very soft to the touch and the trousers are lovely and thick and so different to the norm and he had lots of complements when he wore them. They also have lovely big pockets which are ideal for hiding small toys and cars inside! I just really like them because they are comfortable and easy for him to clamber about in – you know, do ‘boyish’ things!
I chose age 4-5 sized clothing for Burton as at 3 he is tall for his age, and although the sleeves on the tee shirt are a little long the fit on his body and the trousers are perfect.
As I mentioned earlier, Mini Boden is a little pricier then high street clothing but you are paying for quality and something that is a bit different to the norm amongst your children’s peers. However, by using a company like MyVoucherCodes you can have access to discounts on Boden across all their ranges for all the family. For example, my order, including postage and packaging would have initially been £62.00. However, by using the MyVoucherCodes discount it made my order cost £52.50 giving a saving of 10% and free delivery so a total saving of £9.50 .

I was given £60 with which to order some clothing from Boden for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions made are honest and my own, as are the two cute models in the photographs!
