We love Weetabix in this house, well when I say ‘we’ I mean all of us except Burton who loved it as a baby and toddler but now will not eat it!! Jenson eats it almost everyday sometimes even for lunch or tea if he missed out at breakfast. Their Daddy, and Granma, often tell the boys of how he used to eat 6 weetabix for breakfast when he was a teenager!! I prefer the Weetabix minis nowadays to the large original biscuits, because I am unable to eat them without sugar whereas the mini biscuits are perfect as they are.
I was recently asked if the boys and I would like to have some fun with Weetabix and create some Weetabuddies. ‘Weetabuddies’ , for those of you who are not in the ‘know’ are a range of characters created to make breakfast a little more fun!
The campaign is all about encouraging families to get creative at breakfast whilst having a healthy start to the day. You can meet all the Weetabuddies characters here:
So I put some fruit, nuts and various Weetabix biscuits on the table and asked Burton, Jenson and their Daddy to devise their own Weetabuddies which was lots of fun , and here is what they, and I, made:
Jenson’s Cockadoodlebix
A chicken made from Weetabix, grapes, a raspberry and orange segments
Burton’s Woofabix
A dog made using Weetabix, a strawberry, a grape and orange segments
Daddy’s Weetasauraus
A dinosaur made using Weetabix and Weetabix minis, pecans, orange segments, strawberries, grapes, raisins and banana
Mummy’s Monkey Business-abix
A monkey made from Weetabix, banana, raisins and a pecan nut
Mummy’s Gruffalo-abix
A Gruffalo made using Weetabix, grapes, apricot, raisins, banana, almonds and pecans
Which is your favourite Mummy Mishaps Weetabuddy?
If you and your children would like to create their own fun Weetabix characters please upload your photos to the offical Weetabix Weetabuddies page , where you can win daily prizes. (Full terms & conditions can be found here)

I love these, especially your Weetabix Gruffallo, who knew you could be so creative with breakfast.

These are amazing. I loved seeing them on Instagram.
Can we add Weetabix to the things that Harry and Jenson have in common? Harry has become OBSESSED with them and wants them for breakfast and will even ask for a “breakfast dinner” every evening now. xx
