Having children with unusual first names means it is not likely that you will be able to find items in a gift/souvenir shop with their names on. Things like door plaques, wallets, pencils etc… , show all the usual suspects in popular girls and boys names, but Jenson and, particularly, Burton, I have never spotted pre printed on any items in any toy or souvenir shop I have frequented. Of course this does have its plus points, because it means that we can avoid buying lots of things just because it has their name visible on them!
However, what I do love is being able to select useful, quality items which can then be printed with the names of my boys. Allowing me to take my time and choose products from the comfort of my sofa without little voices pestering me to buy them, simply because they recognise their names! Stuck On You is an online company which can provide this service for you which is perfect when you have children with more unusual or less common names. The site offers a whole array of products including clothing, stationary, puzzles and lunchboxes. Stuck on You was created in 1995 by a fellow Mum for her son who needed labels for his nursery and now, more than 19 years later, the company has a huge range of personalised labels and gifts, and sell to countries all over the world.
I was asked if I would like to review some items and I chose some pajamas for Jenson and a lunchbox for Burton.
These pajamas have proved to very popular and have been worn almost every night since they arrived , although I was asked why did not have a monkey on them (of course!). They are very smart and wash well and are ideal for these hot nights as they have been designed to wear during the summer, owing to them being made from soft, quality cotton. Priced at £17.99 I feel these are good value as they feel really nice – not cheaply made at all. Also the transfer featuring ‘Jenson’ and the colourful and fun design looks like it is made to last and will survive numerous washes, which with a messy boy like mine is just aswell!
Burton LOVES his new lunchbox – an insulated bag which is just the job to keep his packed lunch cool until lunchtime. It is just the right size for him to carry, and it is roomy inside and even has a little pocket on the front, which is handy for holding notes which come home with him from school.
With back2school season almost upon us, such a lunchbox would be a great purchase for the new school year, and you can even buy a matching drinks bottle. Burton has been happily showing his personalised lunchbox bag off for a week now and being the only ‘Burton’ in the school, there is no chance of anyone else mistaking it for theirs! The bag costs £18.99 which does cost more than similar (non personalised of course) ones I have seen in supermarkets, BUT those for sale in a supermarket are not printed with your childs name or allow you to select which design, from a choice of 25 images and 3 bag colours, you would like to make the bag unique. It is also easy to keep clean and comes with a reinforced handle – perfect for boys who like to swing their bags around while running to and from school.
I was sent these items from Stuck On You for the purpsoe of a review. My comments are honest and my own, and I only let my children review items which are relevant and age appropriate.
