As I briefly mentioned in my post last week regarding the 20 month age gap between my two children, I have noticed that over the last week Burton and Jenson have started playing together now.
It is so sweet to watch and it was what I always hoped would happen with them being quite close in age. Jenson loves watching his big brother get up to his antics: playing and eating, laughing and crying – he takes it all in and you can see that he cannot wait to join in and do what Burton does.
The first person Burton rushes to see in the morning, after the potty (!) is Jenson and he hugs him and kiss him and says “ello babby Enson” ( he has just learnt to say this!) which makes Jenson laugh and his little face lights up when Burton approaches him.
Now that Jenson is sitting up unaided Burton has definitely realised there is a potential playmate emerging for him to play with, although he still gets a little over zealous after a while. It melts my heart when I witness the start of their little brotherly relationship establishing itself before my eyes.
They also both love it when Jenson is in the walker and he can ‘chase’ Burton around the downstairs rooms!!
Here are some photos of the two of them playing together
not impressed at having to wear a lid as a hat!
the playing leads to tickling!
Jenson ‘discovering’ the Little People Farm
oh and some obligatory cute smiley shots ….well just because!!
and it hasn’t taken Jenson long to become a fan of all things apple too!
I can’t wait to see what else my two cheeky little monkeys get up to together 🙂

ahh Jen what a fabulous post, the boys really are growing up so quickly, I feel as though I am missing out on seeing them do so, just as I do with Zack & Maisy-Beau. Gorgeous pics of them playing together, I fully understand why it brings tears to your eyes, simply beautiful. Love Kxxx

I have 20 months between 2 of mine, in fact all 6 are within 6 years and they do all provide ready made playmates for one another. Makes entertaining them so much easier!

I have 20 months between my two boys too and I totally get what you’re saying. Watching them play together has been literally some of the best moments of my life. Hearing D say “I love you, little babba” is just brilliant.
