I have to apologise, this is a proud parent moment type post!!
Burton’s swimming is really coming along now. He has been using arm bands since February and is happy to swim off on his own around the pool with Daddy not far behind him.
He has also been picking up dive sticks off the bottom of the pool (deep end!) for a few months now. He and daddy go underneath the water together and Burton collects them off the floor. He has also held his breath long enough to swim the width of the pool under water while holding onto daddy!!
More recently he has been swimming without his arm bands and just with the woggle and loves nothing more than to swim up to Daddy and with one hand still on the woggle, he uses the other to hit daddy with the end of the woggle! He has also swam a couple of paces without wearing his arm bands – honestly he has no fear of the water!
My OH sneaked an underwater camera in the pool today and took some photos of Burton doing what he loves best.
He just really loves swimming.

wonderful pics Jen, Burton is such a waterbaby … boy! Bless him. My only concern (made me chuckle!) is was Jon camera smuggling … as in budgie smuggling!?!? Fab pics though. Kxxx

What fantastic pictures and what a brave boy! Little M is scared of the water and I blame myself for that – I never continued with swimming after he was 8 months old. Need to get him to relax!

Ahh, what great photos! I think it’s great he managed to sneak the camera in, such precious moments to catch 🙂 xx

How on earth did I miss this?? You must be so proud of him. Burton you are a star!!
I do wish we’d take Charles swimming more. Our local pool has been closed for ages for renovation work and my husband is less than enthausiastic about going swimming anyway and I obviously can’t take both boys alone!
Seeing how well Burton is doing has encouraged me to tell my husband to pull his finger out and take us swimming! xx
