I was recently sent a Bee-Ball Junior Basketball Stand to review and when I was invited to an after school playdate with the boys the other afternoon, I thought I could organise for the children to have a little basketball contest.
However, as with most garden toys, before the kids could start shooting hoops the stand needed to be assembled. The kit consists of:
- Bee-Ball Junior Basketball Stand
- Basketball base
- All fixings required
- Hoop net
- Basketball Backboard
Now, I have to be completely honest here – I hate putting flat packed furniture together, and I also hate having to read and then follow instructions – I am more of lets just try and work it out and if I fail, ask for help lol!! Well, thankfully for me, and the children, the other Mums and one Grandma were far better at assembling this stand, and with some good old fashioned team work, we soon had it upright, and ready to be used.
The base is great because it has wheels which means it can be moved around very easily in your garden, and you add water or sand inside it (there is a plug) to weigh it down and prevent it from falling over.
The basketball stand also has an extendable pole so it can be adjusted (between 1.65m and 2.05m ) according to the height of the children playing. The hoop is nice and large making it easy to throw a large basketball into for bigger children, and plenty of room for a small ball used by younger players.
The stand is excellent quality and very sturdy once built, and I love that I can move it inbetween it being played with. The children all had a lot of fun shooting hoops and it is sure to get a lot more use for more playdates and fun after school and weekends and school holidays.
The Bee-Ball Junior Basketball Stand is available to buy from Big Game Hunters
