Saturday night I hosted an impromptu sleepover at my house with the boys and three of their cousins, as their Daddy and my OH were busy doing rally car make over work, and they needed to carry on during the night. Well, despite lots of, predictable, messing about when they were all tucked up, for they all shared the same room, I was pleasantly surprised when they did not wake up until 7am!!! I was dreading it would be much earlier!!
Toast was on the menu for breakfast as I treated us all to some proper thick white bread, as normally I buy medium sliced hald and half or wholemeal bread. However, I have to admit that thick, white sliced bread does taste good toasted. Mind you, there is nothing worse than making toast and the bread is not toasted all the way to the top of the bread slice – I find this sooooooo annoying!!! Normally, with my toaster, I have to turn the bread half way though toasting to ensure that both ends get brown!! This is a gigantic faff quite honestly!
BUT, guess what? Breville have worked together with Warbutons to design a toaster which accommodates a whole slice of bread and toasts it all the way to the top!!!!
It is a toast revolution!
Perfect toast !
Plus having 4 slots means that I was able to feed 5 hungry children and a daddy, or Uncle Jon as he is known to the cousins, toast much quicker because I did not have to rotate the bread!
The only quandry is what to have on the toast – I like butter on mine
Burton likes marmite
Jenson prefers jam
And daddy did a Paddington Bear and had marmalade – something I never knew he liked until now!!
The cousins enjoyed some chocolate spread on theirs
What a great breakfast to toast a successful sleepover!
What do you like to have on your toast?
