I LOVE autumn. I love the changing colours of the leaves, nature’s treasures like finding shiny new brown conkers and little acorns and their caps. I love the sound of the crisp leaves and branches under my feet as I step on them, the golden light of the sun late in the afternoon casting an amber glow across the ground.
But most of all?
Most of all I love the wonder in my boys faces as we embark on our new autumn adventures together each year, seeing them discover the changing colours of our surroundings, hunting for conkers and the look of delight when they discover some still intact inside their spikey cases. Collecting them, along with sticks, leaves, pine cones and acrons – anything and everything which catches their attention.

I was sent a new coat recently from the Cloud Nine collection at House Of Fraser which I have been wearing this past week since the warmer weather has subsided somewhat now!
It is perfect for a busy Mum like myself because it is warm and I love the fact that it has plenty of pockets, because let’s face it with all the things you are required to carry upon your person like money, a phone, tissues not to mention things that are found on walks (think conkers, acrons, stones etc), this wadded parka jacket has plenty both on the outside and inside too. Perfect for an autumnal stroll!
Jenson is wearing a Polarn O.Pyret cosy padded coat also from House of Fraser which both he and I love – with its orange fleecy lining and waterproof outer layer, it is perfect for the colder weather
