I often pin food or craft items in the hopes of one day making them, but I rarely actually get around to it. I like to get inpiration but often forget all the components when I am out shopping. However, when in the supermarket today, I saw that Ritz crackers were on special and it reminded me of a post I saw, so I decided to buy the ingredients needed there and then and make them when I got home.
And that is exactly what I did.
You may have heard of them through a different name, but as I did not use rolo chocolates but Cadbury’s caramel instead, I have named my version Chocolate Caramel Ritz Creams and here is how you make them.
To make these you simply need :
*1 box of Ritz crackers
2 crackers per biscuit is required
*1 x square of chocolate per cracker pair
I bought a 120g bar of Cadburys Caramel Chocolate which made 20
Then:
Pre heat oven to 200oC / 180oC (fan)
Line a baking sheet with grease proof paper
Place 10 crackers, salty side down on the paper
Place 1 square of chocolate on each cracker
Place the baking tray in the oven for about 5 minutes until just melted
Remove from the oven and place another cracker, salty side up, on top of each piece of chocolate and press down to allow it to squidge and form a sandwich
Then allow to cool and enjoy!
These are soooo simple to make and would make great food at kids birthday parties or maybe even a lunchbox treat for school. Why not give it a go.
What a great idea!! x
