Project 366, 2017. Week 22

So half term is pretty much over which is a shame as one week is just not long enough to do all the things I wanted to do with Burton and Jenson! Mind you the summer holidays are looming now – I can see the next 6 (ish) weeks whizzing past.

We started the week camping near Morthoe here in North Devon, a campsite that is not too far from home (25 minutes) which is perfect when you ned to pop home each day to feed your cat LOL! We also ended our week with a night away in our camper van, and in between we met up with friends and enjoyed the nice weather.

Here is a look back at our week in photos:

Sunday – at the campsite and the boys took their bikes and sent a lot of time exploring the site and playing.

Monday – we arrived home at lunch time and had a lazy afternoon watching films and reading (well I say ‘we’ , I had washing and cleaning and food shopping to do!)

Tuesday – we met up with friends today which was good fun and ended the day with a LEGO Batman movie themed tea – here Jenson is trying to poison me with a Poison Ivy bud!

Wednesday – I took the boys to Arlington Court and we had a picnic and the boys tried out some skipping!

Thursday – a day at the beach at Sauntan Sands.I had not taken any swimwear with me so Burton went into the sea in just his pants, but then a friend lent him a top to wear too!

Friday – a wet morning so a trip to the local soft play and Burton joined me on an early morning walk before the rain came in.

Saturday – didn’t do much today , visited some family and then did some last minute camping over night in some woods.

  1. What sort of camper van is that?! We have a VW transporter that I dream of converting! Looks like a lovely week – we have 7 weeks to get through before summer – Gah!

  2. That campervan looks so much fun. Your camping trip sounds fab. We only have 3 weeks until the summer holidays now. What great photos x

  3. sounds like you had a good time, great that you can take their bikes and be close enough to home to nip and feed the cat. My daughter use to use the local one when the older 2 were younger as they loved all the entertainment and kids clubs and she found it as cheap as entertaining them herself.
Look forward to seeing more of your camping stories come the summer holidays.

  4. it’s so much easier to pop away fro a night with a camper van rather than having to erect a tent for just one night. i keep trying to convince my husband to go away ‘locally’ but he doesn’t feel like he’s been away if he’s close to home

  5. Love that you can camp by the sea and still be close enough to pop back home to feed the cat. Looks like the boys really enjoyed themselves.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
