It has to be said that so far the summer holidays have been a real mix bag weather wise, and there has been a lot of rain so far, and checking my weather app out earlier, it looks as if there is more to come yet!!! It can be hard trying to entertain your children during the school holidays when there is so much wet weather. There is only so much playing, colouring, drawing, making crafts, reading or baking you can do! I do take mine on play dates at other peoples houses, but on the whole if it rains a lot it can equal bored kids and a harassed Mummy!
That is why it is fun (and peaceful!) to have a movie afternoon on a wet day. Yes you could go to the cinema and spend a lot of money to watch a new film, and spend some more money on some refreshments. However, you cannot pause the film for a loo break and if someone tall sits in front of you you might end up not being able to see all of the screen! Whereas at home, in the comfort of your own living room, sat upon your comfy sofa with no danger of another row of seats in front of you: unlimited drinks and snacks plus free entry – yep movie afternoons or movie nights are a great way to entertain your children.
How would you like to be in with the chance to win your own Now TV box and 3-month Sky Movies voucher ? That way you can keep your family entertained with some brilliant movies any day of the week.
Sky Movies is the UKβs most popular movie subscription service, offering a fantastic range of movies to over 5 million customers. It hosts the widest selection of films of any digital, cable or satellite subscription service. Customers can choose from over 1000 great movies including recent box office hits, all-time classics and Disney favourites. Whatβs more, Sky Movies premieres up to 5 new movies every week, and at least a year before they appear on any other movie subscription services. Sky Movies makes watching movies easy and convenient for its customers. Customers can choose to watch movies whenever and wherever they want, either on live TV from one of the 11 dedicated genre channels, or on demand across lots of devices. The Sky Movies app makes choosing a movie easy as it allows customers to browse films currently available on the service, by genre or search for a specific title.
In addition to the Sky platform, the Sky Movies service is available on a range of other providers including Now TV, Virgin Media, Talk Talk, UPC and BT TV.
Later this month I will be hosting an Ice Age movie party in collaboration with Sky Movies and Burton and Jenson cannot wait! Neither can I, any excuse for a party, hey? Remember to look for the #MovieParty to see how myself and the other 9 bloggers get on with each of our movie parties.
