There are so many truly amazing cities across the world that I would love to visit, each one with its own delicious food, stunning architecture and amazing people. Sadly, I have not visited many cities across the world, only Cairo (for a day trip to see the sights), Paris and London so far. The latter two cities both are fabulous and exciting, and places I would happily return to again. However, one city I would love to visit is the ‘big apple’ itself, New York.
I think it is because of watching TV shows such as Friends and SATC, and various films set in the city that makes it look so awesome and interesting. Many of my friends have been, and each one tells me that it is an amazing place to stay, and it just makes me more determined that one day I will get there! I would love to book a trip and visit during December, because I like the idea of skating in Central Park, and see all of the Christmas lights and decorations. I would love to see where my favourite TV shows were filmed , and visit Tiffanys and see the Statue of Liberty. So many things and no doubt it would take more than one trip to see it all.
So that is my city destination of choice, but what would yours be? I asked some blogging friends which city they would love to visit.
Just one? I’ve got a list as long as my arm, but I’d love to visit Stockholm very soon. I love Sweden, Swedish design, have learned Swedish at uni for three semesters and the people are just incredibly outgoing and fun. What could possible go wrong going there?

Just one? So difficult but possibly Hong Kong again. I loved the contrast between the waterfront, the high rise buildings and then all the islands and the small fishing villages on them. It’s a country in one city – literally – and just has the most amazing buzz. My first trip on the Star Ferry was something I’ll never forget!

New York, I’d love to see the big apple especially at Chrismas. I want to stand and gaze with amazement at the Rockerfellar Christmas tree, go skating at central Park, grab a little brown bag from bloomingdales and stand in grand central station and recall all the movies that have featured that exact spot

I would go back to Tokyo, the most diverse city I have ever been to. Nowhere else has such a strange mix of history and traditions on the one hand, and completely off the wall stuff on the other. You can be visiting a peaceful Shinto Shrine one minute, and then served by robots in a restaurant the next! Fantastic!

Monte Carlo because it’s so beautiful. We visited before we had kids and would love to go back with them
Cass
San Fransisco to see the golden gate and be a hippy.

Innes Salzburg: I would love to take the girls on the Sound of Music Tour. I’ve wanted to go for years but felt I needed kids with me too justify the trip!

We are so lucky to live on such a diverse and amazing planet – if only it were possible to see it all!
Which city would you love to visit or re-visit the most?
