I asked Burton the other day if he could have any type of flooring for his bedroom what would he choose?
His reply?
Lego!
To be honest it is a very cool idea because so many amazing Lego creations could be built and re built on such a floor, although it could be painful if you stepped on some Lego in the dark!!
It got me thinking though, what if you could have any flooring you liked. Wouldn’t that be fantastic! Maybe have some artificial grass for budding explorers, or make a floor into a pitch for a football or rugby fan. Maybe a road map carpet for wannabe racing drivers, something which my OH may have liked when he was a boy! I found an array of funky child friendly floor ideas for children

I think as children we have the best imaginations for coming up with unique ideas of what would make great flooring for our bedrooms. I asked some fellow bloggers to recall what they wished they could have had when they were children:
I always wanted to have a glass floor with an aquarium underneath, because, you know thats totally possible, right?

I wanted a soft fluffy sheepskin in deep pink. I got so excited when my room was finally up for redecoration when I was 15. Then I came home from school one day to find my parents had installed beige utility style carpet. I was gutted!

I always wanted stepping stones and water for my bedroom floor. I would annoy my Mum by taking all the sofa cushions and making a path with them around the bedroom.

Completely mental, but when I was little I always dreamed of a bunk bead with a slide that would send me straight into the ocean. I loved swimming and being in the water, so that was my ultimate dream – for some reason my parents never got around to relocating to house at the sea front

Bubble wrap so I could pop it all day long! It would have to be self replacing though, and endless supply of pops!

Ha ha just brilliant! What incredible imaginations children have 🙂
What flooring would you have loved to have had in your bedroom as a child?

Ouch LEGO flooring. That sounds so painful but I guess you’d get a good massage every day x

You could glue all the Lego down flat. That would be awesome!!

I swear enough as it is when I tread on Lego!
