So back to school is now fast approaching, and this week will be all about making the most of our last 3 days together, without the routine of the school day and school runs invading our little summer holiday bubble! It will also mean a busy time for me washing Burton’s new school uniform, digging out his school bag and PE kit (in fact this has reminded me that I will need a bag for his kit!) and making sure he completes the spellings that we have put off doing so far during the summer break.
Burton has already complained about trying on his new trousers for me to make sure that they fit, so I have no idea what he will be like Thursday morning when he has to wear all his uniform! He has spent the summer in shorts and tee shirts and I think the thought of returning to his white, grey and blue colour scheme is not very appealing!
With this in mind, I asked Burton to look at the boys clothing section on the Debenhams website , and I asked him to choose what he would like to wear to school if he could choose his own uniform. “Anything I like Mummy?” he asked, looking quite pleased at the idea. Now Burton has gone for a very unconventional “look” and I am sure if he wore this combo to school Thursday morning he would get some funny looks (a bit like the time Jenson insisted on wearing pants on his head on the school run earlier this summer- clean of course, but pants all the same!)
Still, with his new found love of LEGO it is no surprise that he chose an awesome pair of LEGO pyjamas and some LEGO crocs. The Tee shirt has a ‘B’ on it “for Burton , Mummy” and apparently will go with the blue pajama bottom trousers! The sweater is in his favourite colour and will keep him warm , so he says!
Well, one thing is for sure it certainly looks a lot more fun than his regular school uniform! What do you think?
