I am often sent products to review, and here is a round up of some I recieved this month.
Walkers Mighty Lights
Despite all the baking I do, I am always on the look out for ways to save calories and cut down on my fat intake in other areas. Walkers recently launched Mightly Lights a brand new ridged crisp which contain no artificial colours or preservatives and, more importantly, have 30% less fat than the average potato crisp. Mighty Lights are available in 3 flavours
cheese & onion
roast chicken
lightly salted
and contain just 114 calories a bag.
Often with low fat and / or low calorie crisps I find that they are never as nice as regular crisps and when eating ‘diet’ ones you usually have to sacrafice something, whether it be the flavour or the texture. However, I have to admit that with Mighty Lights you would never know that you were eating crisps that were lower in fat and less calorific. They were really delicious and I enjoyed them just as much as regular crisps. I gave some to my OH and did not tell him what they were until after he ate them, and he agreed that he would not have guessed they were anything other than regular full fat crisps.
Retailing at £1.79 for a pack of 6, why not get swap your regular crisps for some Walker Mighty Lights?
Dipdap App
Next up is the new Dipdap app all about the popular CBeebies show and based on the programme’s format of lots of squiggly lines and shapes which come to life to assist Dipdap.
Burton enjoyed watching the show so I knew he would like to play the app, and I was not wrong. He has spent a lot of time working his way through the app and the various levels and stages that you can join in with. There are 16 adventures that Dipdap embarks on and your child needs to help him by drawing shapes (some are free hand and others require tracing the outline of objects already on the screen) to make things for Dipdap to use. Maybe a boat or a lawnmower and so on. There are different coloured crayons to be used and your child can also record the sequences he/she has helped to create to playback and how friends and family.
I really like this app because it is encourging dexterity for both of my boys as they make the shapes on the screen, and also to think fast and react accordingly to the situations on the screen. I really like this quote from the artist Paul Klee (taken from the Dipdap promotional blurb)
“A drawing is simply a line going for a walk.”
and Dipdap epitomises this idea perfectly.
Dipdap the new app is available across various formats and costs £1.99 which I think is excellent value and I would reccommend this because it is guaranteed to keep your little ones quiet and occupied, plus it helps them to learn too.
Finally I was sent some new cleaning products from Mr Muscle called Touch-Up Cleaners . Now any product which claims to aid the chore which is cleaning important areas in the home, ie. the kitchen and the bathroom, at a touch of a button (well and a cleaning cloth and some elbow grease of course!) is great in my opinion! These attractive cleaning products are very easy to use – you simply turn the stopper clockwise to unlock the pump then press down directly onto the area that needs cleaning or directly onto a cleaning cloth/sponge and a spray of liquid is dispersed. Then simply wipe your chosen area clean. Thats it, press it, clean it and it’s done! My kind of easy cleaning solution!!
Both products claim to kill 99% of bacteria and the fragrances of both cleaners are very pleasant and leave a nice scent behind which you can still smell a while after you have finished cleaning. I have found both Touch-Up Cleaners ideal for cleaning up after myself and my family. The bathroom and toilet cleaner has been great for wiping down the taps and sides after the boys have cleaned their teeth (is it only my children who manage to get more toothpaste on everything bar their teeth?), and the kitchen variant is great for wiping down the sides after I have been preparing food.
While I would happily leave both products out on the sides of my kitchen and bathroom because they look unintruding than most bottled cleaners, and would be handy to activate when required, I would not leave the bathroom one out for fear of someone mistaking it for hand wash!!
Mr Muscle Touch -Up Cleaners are available to buy now in most supermarkets.
Disclaimer: I was sent all of the above items (and a voucher for the iPad app) for the purpose of reviewing them. All comments made are my own and honest.

I really like the way you’ve written this Jenny.
DEFINITELY getting the Dipdap app. Charles was OBSESSED with it when he was a baby and we’re all into it now. Especially excited to see we can get it on the Kindle! Yay!
I saw someone bulk buying the Mr Muscle cleaners in a shop last week! She seemed pretty excited about them. x
