Sunday – I started today off with lots of ideas of things to do like the beach, the park, National Trust etc..and to pack a picnic. However, OH had other ideas and wanted a lazy morning so I went food shopping. When I got home I found Burton with a beauty of a bump on his head – it was huuuge! He had been spinning around in the hallway, got dizzy and fallen into the door frame! Luckily, an application of butter and a chocolate Freddo helped ease the pain! Needless to say, all my plans went out the wondow then as OH decided that we should have a day at home because of Burton and his bump!! Hmmmm! Anyway, I baked a chocolate cola cake while the boys played out in the garden and OH mowed the grass!
Monday – after breakfast the boys made some birthday cards it was the boys Great Gran’s birthday and we were invited out to lunch. The boys behaved so well and actually ate their food – I nearly fainted lol! When we got home they wanted to play with the play dough so I set it out on the decking – less chance of it falling on the carpet that way!
Tuesday – we had a play date today at a boy called Joseph’s house. Burton knows him from Ladybirds and I have met his Mum at both his and Joseph’s birthday parties. We had a lovely time, more play dough fun (but with a sweet making machine!) and lots of playing outside in their garden with the sandpit and the ride on vehicles they had.
Wednesday – it rained this morning so we had a lazy kind of morning playing some games and I got our clothes packed ready for our little adventure after lunch. At 2pm the boys and I set of to pick Grandma up as the four of us drove to Southampton to a Premier Inn ahead of our visit to Peppa Pig World tomorrow!!! We arrived at tea time and the boys were given an activity pack whch contained these comedy false glasses! After our meal the boys were a bit full of beans and didnt go to sleep until almost 10pm!
Thursday – so we went to Peppa Pig World as part of a bloggers coffee morning event (post to follow) and once we got out to the park we had such a magical and amazing time! It was a shame about the long queues but that’s part of going to a theme park isn’t it? The highlight for the boys was meeting Peppa, George, Suzy and Zoe and having cuddles 🙂
Friday – after our busy day yesterday we stayed at home today. It rained all moring so I caught up on some housework while the boys played with some Peppa Pig merchandise which we bought yesterday. The sun came out this afternoon so the boys played out side – and did ‘tricks’ down the drive way (Burton’s words!)
Saturday – it rained all day booooo! Swimming this morning followed by a trip to Tesco and then to see Granma and Grampy for some elevenses. This afternoon lots of playing indoors and then at bathtime Jenson made a bubble beard and kept saying “ho ho ho!”.
**I have also spent the day going self hosted (eeeeek!) so from now on you will need to follow me at my new blog address which is
So please excuse if the layout is not quite right yet – I still have some tweaking to do!!

You’ve become a .co.uk!! Congrats!! 🙂 I read your whole post and thought hmmm something different, and then didn’t click till the end. I didn’t know butter was good for a bump. I’ll remember that for my own Mr Bump!

ouch that bump looks sore, but kids do these things, Bob slid on the laminate in the hall the other week, granted he was running, tried to grab him and missed. The sand pit and diggers look brill fun, and its nice when they get a surprise and a day out like that, least it was dry for Peppa Pig

Well done on going self hosted Jenny. Poor Burton that bruise looks like a whopper. Burton suddenly seems to have shot up and he seems much taller and grown up all of a sudden.

As always, such beautiful photos! My kids are very jealous that you have a digger for the sand. We have to go to the park for that kind of action!

That bump must have been painful. Good to see it didn’t stop him enjoying his week.
I like the new site layout and new header picture. 🙂

Oh my goodness, that bump. Poor Burton.
A new friend brought her daughter to visit us for the first time a few weeks ago and she got hit by the swing on the garden. She got a bump like that round her eye and I felt awful for days. I was sure they wouldn’t want to come again but luckily they did!
TheBoyandMe
Bloody hell that bump is enormous, poor boy! I hope it’s healed nicely now? I’m glad that you enjoyed Peppa Pig World, such an amazing place!
Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
