My Uncle very generously gave the four of us an Amazon voucher for Christmas, so at the start of this week I used it to buy the boys a trampoline. We have waited so long to have a garden where the boys can play and have fun, and surely a trampoline is the perfect outdoors playtime accessory for two very energetic boys!!
It arrived Wednesday afternoon, and after arriving late home from work that night Daddy went out in the garden, in the dark and cold garden, and spent almost 2 hours assembling it so it would be ready for the boys to see on the morning of his birthday. Their faces were a picture when they spied it out of our kitchen window before breakfast today, and as OH agreed *that* made those couple of hours late last night worth every minute!
So by 9am the boys and I headed out wrapped up well with two cuddly monkey toys in tow and went bouncing. For Jenson it was his first proper go on a trampoline, because although he did try the one at his Granma and Grampy’s last summer he usually would just stand and wave at me through the netting!!! He was a little unsure to begin with
It made me think back to Burton’s first adventures on the trampoline at his grandparents. He has never been uncertain about using one as he has always been really good at bouncing and maintaining his balance and always shown so much confidence even from a young age.
Here he is a little younger than Jenson is now (he would have been 20 months) back in 2011 about a week after his little brother was born in fact.
By the summer of 2012 you couldn’t keep him away from the trampoline whenever we were outside in the garden!
Then this morning, his first trampoline session of the year, he was enjoying winding his brother up by bouncing too hard each time Jenson tried to get back up which he found funny, and Jenson did not!!

LOVE this, especially Burtons cheeky face on the last photo.
I can’t believe how much he has changed. His little blonde curl was so cute. xx

How quickly they grow. It’s great having a chart with similar pictures. What lovely pictures too!

Oh my gosh, so CUTE! I just love trampolines…some of my best memories as a kid are bouncing on trampolines with friends. I can’t wait to get one someday for Nate, and I might have a little bounce too 😉 Oh and Jenson’s hat is amazing!

Leo would love a trampoline, not sure it’s the best idea on a balcony though!

Awww, Burton looks so happy on that trampoline, really enjoying himself and so confident. And I’m also a little surprised at how much Jenson is starting to facially look like him, I’ve always thought they looked very different. (I’ve just realised they’ve both got blue eyes, what’s going on there Mrs. Brown-eyed Lady?!)
I’m pretty sure that The Boy would love one but because I designed our garden so massively pre-child, it means that the different ‘zones’ don’t allow for it. I’ve been desperately taking flowerbeds back up over the past few years as it is to create more grass space for swings, slides and football, I can’t accommodate a trampoline too!

I love Burton’s cheeky face on that last photo! I would love a trampoline for Lucas when he is older, it must be so good for burning off all that energy xx

I love Burton’s face too! He looks so cheeky lol. I love our trampoline. We take it down in the winter but I think we’ll have to put it up again soon. Must get a new net for it first! x

I absolutely want a trampoline in my garden. No room in the current one but maybe if our move goes through. I love the pics of the boys!

Trampolines are great and love the pics mid bounce! I have one of E bouncing naked somewhere, don’t think he’d appreciate me publishing them though 😉
