Feeding The Birds (27/365)
I discovered today that this was a weekend that the RSPB asks members of the public to spend an hour in one place, say your garden, a park etc.. , and monitor how many birds you see. This spurred me on to go to Tesco and buy some ingredients to make some bird cakes. Using lard, bird seed and raisins Burton and Daddy mixed them all up and formed balls which we placed inside some mesh nets, and then we hung them outside. Then we waited, and waited and waited. Do you know something? In the space of an hour we didn’t see a single bird!!! Unbelievable! The boys were suitably unimpressed and I was astounded!
Burton went to Ladybirds. Jenson and I attended a toddler playgroup that we haven’t been to for a few weeks owing to two moves and Christmas. It was a bit of a walk as it was near our old house but I am glad that I made the effort and walked there – and luckily we got home just before it rained.
Sometimes the boys can play so nicely together and here they are doing just that when Burton arrived home from pre school.
Double Puddle Trouble (29/366)
Try as I might I could not persuade the boys to go outside and get some fresh air today – I think they were tired from yesterday and to be honest I was too from having walked so far with them and uphill all the way home! So we stayed in and played lots and watched some Peppa Pig. This photo shows them playing with the pirate ship but they ended up adding all the playmobil animals so it was more like an ark!
‘Blue’ (31/365)
Burton went to Ladybirds so Jenson and I pottered around at home and did some cleaning – he likes to help me. We popped outside for a bit as it was dry and sunny and he loves picking up stones from the driveway and showing me and bringing them in doors!!
‘Water Sparkles’ (33/365)
I took the boys to Westward Ho! late morning because it was such a beautiful day: blue sky, sun shining and just too nice not to make the most of it. It was, however, very cold and the beach was freezing! Still the boys enjoyed digging wet sand with their spades and falling over, and discovering little pools of water and falling over, clambering over the pebbles, big and small, and falling over!!! After half an hour Burton fell over in a deep pool of water and we had to head home for a warm shower and a cooked lunch! This photo shows said rock pool that he fell over in, but we loved seeing how the suns rays sparkled in the water.
Thank you xx
Lovely photos! I can’t believe you didn’t see any birds either. We have 3 cats that go out in our garden and we still see birds all the time..sometimes seagulls! x
Lovely photos, they look like they have lots of fun together
that puddle jumping looks brilliant. gorgeous pics x
Puddle jumping is ace xx
You are so active! No wonder they were tired on the 30th. But good effort with the ship/ark 🙂

Looks like a pretty busy week! Westward Ho! photo is great, they all are in fact. Am definitely going to make it up there sometime this year x
These are just beautiful photos. They are so lovely together.
Some great pictures of the boys. You’re very lucky to be so close to the beach. Always quite fancied going to Westward Ho! – something about that exclamation mark I think.
They really seem to be growing up fast. Love how close the photos show them.
Jenny you always make your boys lives so much fun, so many fab activities and pictures x

I thought I already commented on this.
I love the fat balls for the birds, what a fab idea to get the boys involved with. My mum has a bird house in her garden and has had NO birds visit it at all.
I think you are amazing for going out no matter what the weather is like.
I adore the last photo of Burton. Beautiful x
Absolutely glorious photos Jenny, gorgeous quality. This is why you’ve been nominated for so many awards. The perspective on the fatballs photo is fabulous, I love Jenson’s face in the puddle stomping photo.
Thanks for linking up.
love the muddy puddle shop, brilliant fun for children, I like Jenson’s expression with the stone picture.
Oh how lovely! Your boys look like such great friends 🙂
xx
The photo on the beach is beautiful – the lighting is great. Though I also love the look of joy on their faces when they’re jumping in the puddle.
