There are some people in life who light up a room when they enter it. Their smile makes others do the same. Infectious and beautiful their kind and thoughtful personalities radiate happy positive energy.
To me this sums up my fellow blogger friend Kerry. I don’t think I have ever seen a photo of her when she hasn’t been smiling or being silly in front of the camera. I have been lucky enough to have met this lovely young woman twice now, the first time was last December at the Tots 100 Christmas Party held at Butlins, Bognor Regis. I think my first impression of her was wow what a petit and pretty woman and how slim is she after having 3 young children!!!
I ended up being placed in the same group as her for some Christmas Tree decorating competition – we made up the brilliant and best (*ahem) Team C
I remember her busying herself with the task in hand and even though we didn’t win (we were definitely robbed though due to someone on another team creating cranberries on string as a decoration *tuts*) we all had a right laugh and we were all smiling, despite not winning!! She is just so welcoming.
I tweeted her regularly after this first meeting and then I saw her again this year in the summer at Britmums Live, and despite not chatting lots to her, she was her same friendly and smiley self whenever we bumped into each other, and I loved her Jubilee inspired maxi dress!!!
For those of you who don’t know, tragically Kerry suffered a brain haemorrhage not long after Britmums. I was in total shock and disbelief when I heard the news and my heart goes out to her, her wonderful husband and beautiful children as much now as it did back then when I first found out. As a mummy myself it breaks my heart to think of those children going through this and for Kerry who is missing out on so much, and lastly to her amazing husband who has been such a star and has even blogged from time to time to keep us all up-to-date on her progress.
Liska from New Mum Online has come up with the idea of showing our support for Kerry across the blogging world:
So I ask that you hand over your blog and your heart, on Saturday 24th November and let thoughts of Kerry, aka Multiple Mummy ripple through the cyber waves.
Let us all say a coordinated prayer for her at 10 p.m. on Saturday 24th November.
Of course if you are not religious and do not pray, then medidate, or make a wish, or do what feels right for you.
Please if you can, do a dedicated blog post to her on Saturday so that she has her own HEALING CORNER of the world wide web on Saturday…
Here is my wish
I wish you a speedy and safe recovery Kerry. I want you to make a full recovery as quickly as you are able so you can be home with your gorgeous family once more. You are a fighter and a good person – please keep fighting and I look forward to hearing when you are fully recovered. The best Christmas present would be for you to be home for it with your loved ones.
I wish I could do more.
