Jonathan used to read to Charles whilst he was still a bump (couldn’t be bothered to do it when I was pregnant with Harry, nice). It was amazing as Charles always recognised his voice. xx

Love this post… I remember sitting reading Winnie the Pooh to my daughter at a few weeks old. I wondered at the time if I was slightly mad, but she does love books now! x

Great post, I love all the quotes you’ve used. I can’t understand anyone who wouldn’t want to pass a love of reading onto their children. I love the photos, especially the one of Burton with the Bill and Ben book on his head – its a standing joke that I can’t read hard backed books as I drop them on my head when I fall asleep reading them ๐
