So the clocks went back last night – ha! That extra hour of sleep is only really applicable if you have either no young kids or kids that are old enough to appreciate a lie in!
Anyway, while I am sat here with Jenson napping and Burton watching Puss In Boots, here is my week that was last week!
While Burton went to Ladybirds Jenson and I went to a toddler playgroup which means walking through the churchyard which is lots of fun for both boys at the moment, due to the autumnal nature treasure that we find, like leaves, sticks, conkers etc…
We met Granma and Great Gran in town for a quick drink at Costa and saw some Christmas decorations being put up in one of the shops, which Burton enjoyed seeing. When we arrived home my friend and her son paid us a visit and I made homemade pizzas for lunch and the boys played together.
After they left out package from Mini Boden arrived so the boys did some modelling!
Granma was a bit off colour so instead of us visiting her she bought Ben to our house so the boys could play together for a few hours.
It was a lovely day today and my Mum arrived so after lunch she and the boys and I headed to the park for a leaf hunt so we could make some leaf art when we got home. We had so much fun which you can read about here if you so wish.
Tonight Mum stayed to watch the boy while OH and I went to Burton’s first parents evening which you can read more about here too if you would like to 🙂 It was so lovely yo see and hear what he gets up to and how well he is progressing. We are very proud of him.
Jenson stayed with my Mum last night and Burton had Ladybirds this morning. When he got home I asked him what he would like to do and we did all of them which were to buy him some new wellington boots, to make a cake, to do some drawing and to make a puzzle. We face timed Jenson tonight and apparently he slept in until 11am this morning – 15 hours of sleep!!! I have never known either of them sleep that long in one go!
OH left this morning to go to Leeds for a stag do so Burton and I went into town and I took Burton to have his hair cut and he was very good. Then we walked to see Granma and have some lunch and sat in front of her log fire which was lovely and cosy.
When we got home Mum brought Jenson home and it was lovely to see him again and he ran in to see me for cuddles!
Today has been a little fraught at times with two tired boys who were awake early and who are both full of colds and bored as it has rained all day so we havent gone out yet. I did do a craft activity (we decorated a squash – should have been a pumpkin but we haven’t carved ours yet!) with them, which has resulted in glitter getting everywhere. I have blogged about the squash here
So any moment now Jenson will wake, OH will soon be home and Puss In Booys will end and then my temporary calm house will become a mad on once more!!
That was my week that was!!

What a fun week you’ve had – love your pictures, especially the one of the very edible looking cake and the proud little boy standing in front of it!

There is definitely a autumn theme to your post this week. That cake is AMAZING, i made a malteaser cake for Mr E the other day but yours just puts it to complete shame. I haven’t done my week that was yet, i need to finish it but I am just too tired tonight! x

I love that you’ve covered the squash in every craft resource known to man! Hope you can get them off to eat it? Beautiful pictures of your gorgeous boys, love those of Burton with his arms spread wide and Jenson in the churchyard.

Gorgeous pictures as always, I love the ones in the churchyard! Autumn seems very autumny this year 🙂 I’ve been taking Luca out to play in the leaves, we’ve had great fun when the weather has been nice! x
