I am sat here waiting for Downtown Abbey to start and looking back on my week that was, which went something like this.
To be honest the first part of the week wasnt that exciting – Burton had his first week of extended hours at Ladybirds (he has gone from 4 hours on a Monday to 5 and 4 hours on a Thursday morning too), and the staff were very impressed on Monday when he wrote his name in full with nothing to copy. He was chuffed because they gave him a sticker!
Tuesday – went to my Mums as daddy had left his wallet there after our visit on Sunday
Wednesday – spent the day with Granma and cousin Ben (rained all day!)
Thursday – Jenson and I enjoyed a trip to M & S cafe for elevenses and Burton had his third swimming lesson tonight
Friday – went to toddler playgroup in the morning
Friday – afternoon it was a lovely sunny afternoon so the boys and I headed to the park to embark on an ‘Autumn signs of nature treasure hunt’
I was hoping we would find some conkers and after much leaf and flower picking, looking at moss and bark on trees
we found a chestnut tree. Luckily for us a man was shaking the branches and it was literally raining conkers!! We managed to collect a lot! I have to be honest, I don’t recall ever seeing them in their spiky outer cases before – waiting to be set free! I enjoyed finding and opening them as much as the boys did!
Saturday – was another warm and blue sky kind of day and we spent the afternoon outside in Granma and Grampy’s garden. As well as the usual outdoors activities such as playing on the swings, the slide and on his bike, while Jenson napped Burton and some of his cousins did some jumping off the low wall in the garden. Even Granma joined in for one jump!
Sunday – today has been a right mix bag!! Filled with toddler tantrums, tired toddlers and exasperated parents! I for one am glad that they are in bed and it is quiet!!
And that concludes my week that was!
I am linking this up to
and for the outdoor fun

Conkers are great fun, I hadn’t realized they were out already, I will have to go on a hunt with my gang now. I have no doubt they will all go to school with them for a couple of days then the teachers will ban them! Loving all the outdoor fun and the grandparents too!

I love the pictures of your lots jumping off the wall. I hope when I’m a granny I’m still up to wall jumping and puddle splashing.
