Afterwards we went on to Lynmouth and went on the cliff railway which I have posted about before hereย if you want to see what it looks like. Then we headed on to the beach for some fun playing with the stones and shells (its a shingle beach), before Grandma returned us home again.
ย A glorious sunny day today so I packed a picnic and the buggy and we caught the bus to Instow beach where we spent a few hours having lots of fun with the sand. Then boys LOVE the beach and I should visit more as we live so close.
Burton went to Ladybirds today so Jenson and I popped to see my Mum for a couple of hours and have some lunch before I had to return to collect Burton.
I packed a picnic (again!) and when daddy finished work we took the bikes to the park and had a bike ride and the boys had their tea in the park as it had been a hot day and by the time we went it was cooler.
Well I think the photos tell you what today was all about!! The beach again at Instow by bus and with a picnic and this time we met a friend and her son who had lots of fun making sandcastles with my boys. Great afternoon ๐
I took Jenson to get his feet measured and as they had grown we returned home with some new shoes for the winter…..or until his feet grow again! Burton stayed at home with Daddy.
This afternoon the boys and I met Mum and my Step Dad and his two grandchildren at the local national trust site as it was a heritage day which means free entry. The children had lots of fun running around the gardens.
We went swimming early this morning.
After lunch Burton and I made a cake to take to Granma and Gramnpy’s as they returned from their holiday last night so Burton thought they might like a cake. We made a white and milk chocolate marble cake and it went down well with everyone when we popped over to their house this afternoon!
And that concludes my week that was.

Sounds like a fab week, especially for outings in the sunshine. We started off quite sunny here but it soon dulled again. That chocolate cake looks yummy! I bet it went down well ๐

I love Lynmouth! And you have so made the most of the lovely weather!
Coombe Mill (Fiona)
You really did make the best of the week with lots of local outdoor activities and your beaches in Devon look perfect for the boys. A good beach like this is hard to beat when the weather is kind, I do hope we will see some more sunny days before Autumn really takes hold. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
Dear Beautiful Boy
It sounds like you had a fantastic week this week. And I love all the sunshiny outdoor photos, it looks like your boys (and you) definitely made the most of the lovely weather. X

It was glorious wasn’t it – I loved seeing the sunshine again. Wish we lived close enough to the beach to go more.

Busy week for you, I love weeks like that where you manage to fit something into each day and feel really fulfilled at the end of it. Bet you were shattered by the weekend though?
