Well what a difference a week makes!! Hardly seen any sunshine this week, just rain, rain and oh look more rain. Still, here is what we got up to.
I did manage to nip into town while Burton was at Ladybirds and I spent some birthday vouchers in Next and bought the boys a few items of clothing.ย
Stayed in all day as it rained all day ๐
Burton was collected by his Granma mid morning and went to play at her house with his cousins. Jenson and I went for a quick walk but that was it as the weather was wet again!!
We did manage to go out today, we popped to the library after lunch, as it had advertised a messy play afternoon. However, when we got there no messy play action was to be had! So we called into see the boy’s Great Gran for an hour where Burton is allowed to stand on her work top and reach for the chocolate buttons to take home! Had we left Gran’s 5 minutes sooner we wouldn’t have got caught in the torrential downpour without coats (my fault!). I came off worse and looked like a drowned rat!
Had use of the car today so decided to make the most of it! This morning the boys and I went strawberry picking which was great fun and the boys enjoyed sampling the goods as we collected them!!
Then at lunchtime we visited a gnome reserve – such fun and I didn’t look silly at all as everyone has to wear a gnome hat so as not to embarrass the gnomes of course!! Sadly, it rained on and off so we didn’t stay as long as we had planned but we will definitely be returning!
ย Then when i got home I found out that I have been selected to be a
How nice is that?? More on this another time though.
Well yet another wet day!! My Mum and step dad visited us for lunch and took the boys out for a couple of hours so I could do some tidying up. When they left, after tea, they took Jenson back because tomorrow we are planning on having a de-clutter. tidying and DIY day and as much as I love my youngest, I cant do those jobs with him here needing my attention. Anyway, he will have a lovely time with his grandparents.
Today will mostly be a DIY day with Daddy doing the outside of the house and me doing the inside. Mind you it is 11am and I haven’t actually done much of my sorting out yet!! (I blame the 366 linky for that as I have been communing *ahem*). Burton has enjoyed being allowed to ‘help’ paint as you can imagine!
And that concludes my week that was ๐

Lovely photos as always Jenny. I have never ever heard of a gnome reserve- how random and how fun, I think mads would love it. Congrats on being a butlins ambassador, it looks amazing. I wish I had applied now, not that I probably would have had a chance against all the amazing candiates. x
