Here is what we got up to this week
Monday
Burton want off to Ladybirds happy again and didn’t even wave me goodbye!
Back home, Jenson slept for 3 hours so I was able at last to clean the downstairs thoroughly and vacuum the stairs – hurrah! Jenson missed me while I was away at the weekend and was very clingy yesterday and today. He likes to bring me my handbag even though I don’t need it indoors!
When Burton got home he did lots of drawing and drew a brilliant caterpillar with no prompt from me or images of caterpillars in front of him!

Tuesday
We visited my Mum today and popped to the shops to get the boys some new pyjamas. Then we popped back to Mum’s just for a couple of hours to have lunch and a quick play.
When we got home Burton’s other grandma picked him up to stay at hers tonight with his cousin Ben as she is taking the boys to the beach tomorrow.
Wednesday
While Burton ended a day at the beach I had a day with Jenson which he loved because he had me all to himself! He is less clingy when it’s just the two of us aswell. After lunch I took Jenson shopping as I waned to spend some birthday money and bought myself some new pyjamas, two dresses and a cardigan which were all in the sale! I love a good bargain.
On the way home I collected Burton but not before him and Jenson played on the trampoline.

Thursday
Daddy left early this morning for work and then he would be travelling up to Scotland for a rally this weekend, so we won’t see him again until Sunday.
The boys and I stayed home this morning and played, and the after lunch the sun came out so we made the most of it and went to the park.

Friday
As Daddy is away the boys and I are travelling to stay with my Mum and Step Dad because I am without a car and there is not so much I can do to entertain them especially when it is wet! So the three of us caught a train this morning to Exeter to meet Grandma. Burton loved it and sang nursery rhymes loudly, held on very tightly to the ticket and enjoyed watching the countryside from the window. Jenson slept for the first 10 minutes and then was a bit fidgety but on the whole they were both so good for me *phew!*

We met Mum and had a picnic in a nearby park. I bought myself a new pair of wonder jeans from Next, following the advice from one of the TKMAX stylists last weekend. Then we caught a bus to the park and ride car park where Mum was then able to drive us to her house
Saturday
This morning Burton helped Grandad tidy up the garden and do some odd jobs while Mum, Jenson and I popped into Taunton briefly to do the food shopping. We also popped to M &S cafe for lunch.

When we got back to the village where Mum lives, we took the boys to a summer fete which was good fun and a way to pass a couple for hours, and we may have enjoyed a cream tea too *ahem* . We got home just as the heavens opened and it poured down with rain!

Sunday
I am sat here writing this while watching (grown up, non CBeebies ) TV with my feet up as Grandad has taken the boys out in the car, so I am making the most of an hour to myself! Daddy will be home lunch time ish to eat with us and then will take us back home. I don’t think we will be doing much as it is raining…..again!
And that was my week that was!!

I am linking this up to
Thank you xx
Ooh what are wonder jeans? I love that Burton just runs off to nursery now, gives us all hope for the future when it’s “time”. Hope you’ve had a good stay at your mums!
The only good thing about the weather is the excuse to put the TV on for the whole day and not feel guilty 😉
I love the caterpillar drawing, its great when they start tp draw by themselves.
I love that you manage to get out to the park, bounce out on the trampoline and go to the village fate all in one week, so good for the boys to mix all this outside time in with their other activities. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.
I must say the caterpillar is great! I love all the pics of the kiddos and am new to your blog but am already hooked 🙂
Aww what a lovely thing to write! Thank you for reading xx
That looks like a great week. Need mine to go out on the trampoline they’ve been in too much and got so much energy – might just put coats and wellies on. Mind ds3 still has his broken arm so can’t go on :O(
What a great week and some sunshine, a rarity in itself. x
