School Mum Style with simplybe.co.uk #gifted #review

I was gifted some items from simplybe.co.uk in return for an honest review.

As a busy Mum with two young boys, I do not have much time in the mornings to look my best before setting off on the school run. Trying to sort out the animals, feed them and the boys, make the packed lunches and do a lot of shouting and repeating myself to get the boys to get ready for school, well it is hardly surprising that I look and feel harassed before I even leave the house!

Most mornings after dropping the boys off, I usually either go for a run (that means wearing lycra to school – eeeek!) or I walk Copper our dog. Therefore, when it comes to my school run style, it is less glam and definitely more comfort over style!

When I was asked by simply.co.uk if I would like to review some items from their online clothing catalogue, I jumped at the chance to grab myself some new clothes. If you have never heard of Simplybe, they offer fashionable clothing at affordable prices, and cater for all shapes and sizes for women. I decided to showcase some clothes that would be practical for the school runs, and help me to look stylish despite feeling tired and stressed thanks to the nightmare that is getting my boys too school each day!

The first item I chose was this Padded Cotton Parka With Faux Fur Trim. I have wanted a parka coat for some time, and this one is so comfortable and I love the large pockets (handy for keeping my hands warm inside) and the faux fur lined trim on the hood.

I love leopard print on clothing so I could not resist these two items. Firstly, this Leopard Print Star Sweatshirt is over sized and therefore great teamed up with jeans, leggings and skirts and it has a fleecy lining making it super soft and comfy.

Secondly, I opted for this Leopard Print Jersey Maxi Tube Skirt which is such a great length on someone tall like myself (I am 5 ft 8). This style is very flattering and is great in the winter with boots and tights, and in the summer just with sandals. It can be dressed up or down and is perfect for every occasion I think.

The handbag you can see in this photo was also gifted to me. I really like the size, shape and style of this Black Slouch Messenger Bag. So handy for carrying around my essentials and the long strap means I can wear it securely around my person, freeing up my hands and arms for carrying school bags/core tasks/ dog leads etc.

Finally, I chose this gorgeous Red Button Sleeve Jumper. It was the button detail that caught my attention initially, plus I do love top wear red as I think the colour suits me. This jumper is very soft and warm, and again will go with skirts and jeans and is a great length too (covers up my bottom!).

You can see more about my gifted items in a video I made showcasing the products in greater details:

What are your go to items when you are off on the school run?

Thank you to Simplybe.co.uk for gifting me these items. I was sent them in return for a review. This review is an honest account of my thoughts about the items I received, and the words and photos are my own. I made the video through my own choice, I was not commissioned to do so.

  1. Your choices are great. I love the star jumper. And that jacket looks very cosy. I love the leopard print on you, it’s not something I’ve ever wore myself, but might give it a go xx
