Happy half term everyone! How fast that caea round it does not seem that long ago that the boys were returning to school after their Easter break!
We saw some very hot temperatures this week – 34oC registered in my car on two of the days over lunch time! Lovely too see some sun shine, but just as we got use to it, the drizzle and rain returned!
Here is a look back at our week:
Sunday -we went for a lovely walk along Braunton Burrows and found massive sand dunes which the boys enjoyed climbing up, and sliding down (losing wellies/shoes on the way down!)
Monday – he still loves his Monkey! 🙂
Tuesday – a quick walk before school in the sunshine
Wednesday – another walk before school – not as sunny but the boys enjoyed looking at the view down one of the country lanes
Thursday – a very hot day so we went to a friends for a dip in their paddling pool after school to cool down.
Friday – another hot day and at school as a treat the KS1 children could eat their packed lunches outside
Saturday – We have gone camping ! We arrived Friday night to glorious sunshine and we are staying until Monday at a campsite not too far from us near Woolacombe. (such a large thunder and lightening storm in the middle of the night – it lasted for ages. Luckily the boys slept through it)

I love that photo on the sand dunes. Your walks before school always look lovely.

Hope you enjoyed the camping. The paddling pool is a nice item to have in this weather, though even the water in them can get warm.
