Project 365,2017. Week 8

This weeks photos seem a little dull after our fabulous Swedish ones last week. But hey ho that is what happens when it is back
to normality isn’t it?

This week saw the return to school and work and new class topics for the boys, and with it some new core tasks, which although not due in for another month, and will probably be left until the last minute, are quite laborious and made me sigh and moan a little!

Still, here is a look back at what we got up to:

Sunday : a late morning walk around the village with a quick stop off at the pub for a drink before returning home to bangers and mash.

Monday – Quick visit to the park after school as the sun came out

Tuesday – an early before school walk where we managed to avoid the rain, despite the dubious dark clouds

Wednesday – we have been sampling some Heck food, and the boys loved their burgers.

Thursday – swimming lessons time and here we were watching Burton swim, while Jenson tackled some maths.

Friday – I made a gin and tonic drizzle cake for some friends this week and it was very nice. Recipe to follow.

Saturday – busy day : aikido, swimming, walking the dog and then rearranging rooms at home with lots of lifting and shifting, one of those ideas that seemed like a good idea at 2.30pm, but not so good when at 8pm you are still finishing!!  I didn’t really take a photo, so I will add one of Copper that I took this week instead!

It looks like your boys have had lots of time in the fresh air this week. Love the photo on the bridge.
I hate those days when you start on a tidying and decluttering mission and you have to make more mess before it gets tidier! It’s always worth it in the end though.

  2. I do like the sound of your G&T drizzle cake. It’s funny you know, homework seems to get left to the last minute here too. Hope the boys have settled back into school after their week off.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
