So half term is over – I really wish we had an inset day tomorrow so I could have a lazy day at home but there isn’t so it will be back to school and work we go!
BUT what an amazing week we had on our holiday to Sweden! It was an amazing trip, and I have to confess much better than I had imagined where my OH suggested we went there a couple of months ago. We stayed in a log cabin on the edge of a frozen lake and it was so peaceful and relaxing, and not as cold as I had feared. The cabin was so cosy with its wood burner and the view out of the window was better than watching TV.
The boys loved seeing the snow and had such fun in it. Burton has only seen it once when he was a toddler, and it was the first time either of them have sledged, skied and made snow angels. We made a video of our trip which if you a spare 24 minutes you are welcome to see here
Here is our week, and I have cheated a little as Sunday we were still in the UK and yesterday we were home but it was mostly housework and washing which is not exciting. Therefore, instead I am picking 7 holiday photos:
Making snow angels
Sledging
Walking across a frozen lake
Visiting Norway so posing on the Sweden/Norway border
First Time Skiing
Sunset – view from our cabin window

Oh wow! It looks beautiful! It’s not somewhere I’ve ever thought of visiting, but it looks like a great place for a holiday. No wonder you’re disappointed to be back to school today! I’m lucky that I only have one back to school today, with the other two going back tomorrow.
I’m amazed that Burton has only ever seen snow once before, although I guess there hasn’t been much snow around here in the last few years either.
