Project 365, 2017. Week 2

Well week 2 is here already and that seems to have flown by. It was reassuring reading many project 365 posts last week, that a few of us were pondering whether to not to continue with this, or maybe are going too do it slightly differently in 2017. The good news of course, is that we are still joining in.

This week saw a full week back at school and the return of after school clubs and a LOT of rain! I am keeping up with my goal of acheiving a minimum of 10,000 steps a day, surpassing it most days which I am really pleased with (despite the wet weather!).

Here is a look back at my photos from the week:

Sunday – Jenson and I (plus Copper the dog) went on a walk to see Granma who lives about 3 miles away, it was a lovely peaceful walk with not many people about. Jenson packed a rucksack filled with binoculars, glasses, snacks and a drink so he was prepared for our almost two hour adventure!

Monday – I posted a recipe for some homemade curried (canned) mackerel fishcakes and you can see it here if you are interested, all made using store cupboard ingredients so easy and cheap to make.

Tuesday a trip to the park after school to blow the cobwebs away – it was very muddy!

Wednesday – a movie night after school and the boys got top try out their Snackeeze that Father Christmas gave them.

Thursday – weigh in at SW first thing, and I lost 2 lbs which I was pleased with 🙂 So a little cooked breakfast treat afterwards was in order lol

Friday – Burton got his certificate at last which he should have got last term, as he is already working towards his silver.

Saturday – I went to Exeter for the day and had an afternoon tea with some special ladies including this baby bump belonging to my best friend Kimberly, who is expecting her first baby on the 2nd Feb, but because at the almost grand age of 43 she is classed as being geriatric so it is being induced on Friday. Lovely day

It sounds you’re doing brilliantly with your walking and congratulations on the weight loss! Lovely photo of the bump – I’m 43 and am very impressed with anyone brave enough to have a baby at that age (although I’ve definitely done my bit on that score already).

  2. Well done Burton on his times tables. The thought of a baby at 43 is very impressive. Hope the lack of sleep doesn’t prove too troublesome for your friend.

  3. Funnily enough we were talking about SW breakfast at work today, hoe much healthier and more sustaining it is that cereal. Hubby hates the smell of bacon so would probably divorce me if I made it 7 days a week…….hmmm maybe not a bad idea….lol
Well done on the certificate Burton, and to Jenson and you for the big walk on Sunday. Keep up your 10.000 steps.

  4. Geriatric!? Please tell me they don’t use that term!? Hope all goes well for your friend. Well done on the weight loss and love the Bronze Wise Owl 🙂

  5. Oh boy, so clever taking his own bag and snacks for the walk 🙂 Congratulations on the times tables, that’s such an achievement <3
Oh I really dislike that term, by the time we have a baby I'll be classed as "geriatric". It makes me sad that we differentiate during pregnancy, like it wont be hard enough already! *rant over*

  6. It does make me smile that over 40’s are now classed as geriatric these days. I’d have been induced if Monkey had been as late as he was now, glad I had him when I did and he got to come on his own accord. Well done on the times tables and those fishcakes look and sound delicious #365

  7. Oh I like the sound of the fish cakes. I always have oily fish in the store cupboard.
When I was pregnant with my first boy they wrote AM on my maternity card. When I asked why, they said it stood for ‘Ageing Mother’ I was 26!!!!

Well done Burton on knowing your times tables. 🙂

  8. That’s amazing walking. I struggle because of being at work all day even with a 30 minute walk at lunch. Well done on the weight loss, and Burton’s certificate. (We’re the same here – always seem to be behind with receiving his certificates)

  9. So many wonderful photos and memories made. That’s amazing walking. Way to go on the weightloss hon, that is brilliant. Well done Burton. It is hard to keep up isn’t it x

  10. Well done on the weight loss, the breakfast looks delicious! Well done on the times tables Burton, two of mine have Snackeez, they love them! Not sure about geriatric at 43, but it was definitely harder with a baby at 38 to having my first at 22!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
