Project 366, 2016. Week 35

So this is it then, the final week of the summer holidays over. I feel sad because we did not do many of the things I had planned due to one reason or another, and although we made the most of the first few weeks, I feel that we ran out of time sadly.

This week we stayed at home, largely due to the return of Copper last Sunday which meant that we could not go too far and leave him at home alone. Therefore, the boys and I did lots of tidying, sorting and cleaning and have managed to declutter and rearrange most of the rooms in the house. This pleases me because as boring as this may seem, at least the house is looking much tidier now.

Anyway, here is a look back at our final, and rather dull, week:

Sunday
Copper came home! He had the parvo virus but luckily he survived, and was sent home Sunday lunchtime with some medication to finish and a promise that we would let him have lots of rest and quiet. Therefore, the afternoon was sent playing games (for some, in their pants!).

(Bank Holiday) Monday
Jenson and I went to the Big Sheep with some friends while Daddy and Burton stayed at home to watch Copper and paint the bathroom. It was boiling hot today, so the Big Sheep was much quieter than we had anticipated, which meant we got to go on many things.

Tuesday
Lazy day, playing games and taking Copper to the vets for a check up (all ok). Tennis tonight and this is how the boys collect the balls!

Wednesday
Day one of the massive declutter and tidy up at home! In between which the boys played outside in the garden and got their hair cut

Thursday
Day two of our (well mostly me!) tidy up and as he was feeing much brighter, we took Copper for a explore of the garden (while Jenson modelled his Halloween costume!)

Friday
The boys baked biscuits this afternoon and decorated them which took hours! They taste lovely 🙂

Saturday
In-between the showers Copper enjoyed running around the garden! And Jenson modelled his Halloween costume again (second time this week he has worn it!)

  1. So glad Copper made it through and is safely back home. The boys must love having him around. Our summer holiday seems to have slipped away – really I think we need 8 weeks to feel we’ve done it properly.

Glad Copper is better, that must be a big relief to you all! Your week doesn’t look too boring to me, but it is a shame the kids have to go back to school 🙁

  3. It is doesn’t look too dull! We had a quiet one too but the children didn’t want to leave the house – it’s all about balance! Glad Copper is home and well 🙂 x
