So half way through the school holidays now. The time is just whizzing past which is a shame because before I know it it will be back to school and the return of the school runs!
This week has seen some more sunshine which has been nice as it has meant more days out and picnics too.
Here is what we got up to:
Sunday
Took the boys for a walk and of course some tree climbing took place
Monday
The sun kept playing hide and seek behind the clouds today, but we did get the pool out for a bit this afternoon
Tuesday
A trip to Bideford park to meet up with friends, but the pool was cold as the sun was a bit hit and miss. However, Burton stuck it out the longest before getting dressed and joining the others in the playground part
Wednesday
We met with more friends for lunch (an indoor picnic as it was drizzling) then afterwards the su came out, so we headed down to the River Torridge for a spot of fishing with our nets. Burton managed to fall over in the river though!Even I took off my jeans and got in to have a go, and I caught a lot in my net!
Thursday
Met Mum at Knighthayes NT for a picnic and a walk around the house and grounds. The boys loved zooming down his hill – they spent about 20 minutes walking up and then sliding down again. Mum took the boys back to her house for the night for a sleepover.
Friday
I spent the day making this cake for someones Golden Wedding anniversary tomorrow.
Saturday
Unknowing to us, the boys (and the other children) got graded today in aikido, and they are now yellow belts-yaaaay! Plus Burton picked up a medal for great effort during his grading.
