Project 366, 2016. Week 30

PicMonkey Collage (7)

So week one of the summer holidays is at an end and it has been a mix bag, both in terms of the weather and the behaviour of Burton and Jenson!

The rain (which fell most days) did stop us doing a few outdoor activities, granted, but seriously my boys have spent as lot of this week arguing, fighting and wounding each other (and me!) up and we have had lots of tears and tellings off! *sighs* Hopefully with better weather forecast next week, my children will be nicer to one another and we will have a much better time!

Here is a look back at our week:

Sunday – Burton and Daddy went on a bike adventure across muddy fields where the latter grew up as a boy.

Monday – we went to Bideford Park with friends and had a bounce off

Tuesday – a game of ‘it’ after tennis

Wednesday – the boys had a sleep over in their den which was Burton’s bottom bunk with some blankets draped over it! Needless to say they took a while to go to sleep!

Thursday – a walk with friends before a trip to the cinema

Friday – this face kind of sums up a lot of this week! Jenson had a paddy while we went on a scoot with friends because he did not want to wear a helmet he was kindly offered to borrow (I forgot to pack his!). His crying, screaming and grumpiness lasted for about 25 minutes! Then he was ok and wore the helmet! Kids!

Saturday – a friend had her wedding reception at a local wake park and the kids went on this cool inflatable assault course! It was a brilliant evening do!

  1. Oh dear the joys of having sons! My two were just the same especially when rain stopped outside play.
The water assault course looks a lot of fun.

  2. well that makes for different entertainment at a wedding, looks brilliant fun.
Oh dear at the fights and arguments, Fifi loves to wind Bob up until he cries.Least they stayed friends long enough for the sleep over in the den.
