First week post holiday and it has been spent wishing for better weather, as it has mostly rained, and thinking back to what we were doing this time last week and wishing we were back in Spain!
Here is a photo a day from last week:

Sunday – no photos of the boys as we spent the day relaxing at home – except for me who did a mountisan of holiday washing, drying, food shopping and tidying! So here is Tilly our cat instead, who was glad to be home from the cattery, and has not stopped meowing and following me everywhere!
Monday – back to school and our usual routine. A mixture of tea and Lego at breakfast! Thats normal here lol!
Tuesday – school reports and I could not be prouder of my two boys. Seriously they could not have done any better and they really have worked so hard and excelled in their various areas of education. Reading the reports, especially Burton’s, I cannot help but think ‘who is this boy they are describing?’ , because i do not recognise the one they are writing about!!! I only hope that their passion for learning and wanting to learn continues as they get older.
Wednesday – hair cut time after school
Thursday – sports day and Jenson came 3rd in his class 200m sprint
Friday – Burton’s 7th birthday! He had a great day and lots of lovely presents including these and a new bike.
Saturday – Burton’s party was held at the Ultimate Adventure park where he and Jenson plus 8 friends did wall climbing, sorbing and a nerf gun battle. I made a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine cake which looks ok from a distance, but anyone who follows me on instagram will know the truth – its wonky and patchy as icing is my nemesis!!! BUT the boys and the other children loved it, and that is all that matters. Plus it tasted nice!

Happy birthday, Burton! Well done to the boys on their school reports. We’ve had boys’ haircuts here too – they were long overdue!
Happy birthday Burton – love the cake! The school reports look lovely how they are presented 🙂
Hope Burton had a fantastic birthday! Love their school reports. That is such a lovely, personal thing to do for them.
Sounds like Burton had an amazing birthday – very cool toys and a party that sounds fab. Loving the cake.
Looks like a fab week and that cake looks pretty cool! Hope Burton had an amazing birthday. My girls are all having birthdays too over the next few weeks. Where did our babies go? both your boys look like they’ve shot up recently xx
Happy belated birthday Burton, my cakes often look ok in a photo but not so real life, but the kids like them and they taste fine ( well aprt from Bob’s that taste fine to Bob but not the rest of us.
Flipping heck at the reports – what happened to one sheet of paper?
