Project 366, 2016. Week 27

Project 27

So we have just got home from an amazing holiday in Nerja on the Costa del Sol, which was our first family holiday abroad and longest holiday that OH and I have been on too!

I took so many photos and to be honest it was hard to narrow it down to just one a day, and actually I could have just used ones from our villa pool as there were some great ones captured in it. However, we did do more than just hang around it (although we did spend the most time in it to cool off, as temperature was in the mid 30’s!), so I wanted to show the things we did during our week. I will compile a separate holiday post to show off more of our photos and memories from our week away, later in the week.

So for now, here are some photos from our holiday week that was (and is now sadly over!!!)

Saturday – we were up at 4.15am to catch our plane which was de;eyed by an hour! We arrived in Malaga and then had to queue for an hour to get our hire car. Therefore, when we arrived at our amazing villa we had to get in the pool to cool off!

Sunday – we took the boys into Nerva at lunchtime to have some lunch , which turned out to be a bad idea as it was far too hot for them to enjoy their food and they didn’t eat much! Here they are taking some shelter from the heat while Daddy got a drink for them!

Monday – we visited the Caves of Nerva late this afternoon which was just brilliant ! Really huge and so interesting.

Tuesday – we went back to Nerva tonight (when it was cooler) for tea and found the most delicious ice creams

Wednesday – we took the boys to a nearby water park this afternoon with was good fun

Thursday – tonight (yes this was taken at 7pm but it was still blooming’ hot!) we took a drive up into the mountains to see the views and then found a place to eat for tea

Friday – we took the boys to the beach this morning seeing as though they have never been in warm sea before. (*I did not take this photo but it was the only one with us in the sea!)

Saturday – up again at 4am UK time to head to the airport to fly home – boohoo!

  1. It is a wonder they got to eat the ice creams before they melted in those temperatures.
Looks like a nice week and shame it was too hot to enjoy totally.
The water park sounds like a great day out in those temperatures, and I bet the swimming pool was much appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
