Project 366, 2016. Week 14

IMG_1020

I cannot believe that the holidays are almost over. When the boys finished on the 24th March, it felt like we had ages, and now with only 2 days left I feel a little sad because it seems like we did not do much in the end!

This is probably due to them both being ill last week. However, this week we have made the most of our time and got out and about a lot which has been good fun. Lots of picnics and seeing friends, and making the most, where possible, of drier , sunnier weather.

Here is a look back at our week in photos:

indoor rock climbing

2nd tooth out for Burton – although the tooth fairy forgot to come the first night (oooops!)
. Very sweet that he wrote a note addressed ‘to my dear tooth fairy’

a trip to Instow where it really was warm, so much so that the boys stripped down to their pants and we all caught a little sun on our faces! We took a picnic, dug big holes and they had an ice cream before we headed home, sandy but happy.

we went to Bideford park with a picnic but it was freezing , despite the blue sky!

we visited the Burton art gallery and museum (Burton loves that it has his name!), and Burton was listening intently to the headphones here

we made chocolate orange brownies using up some Easter eggs

in and out of the garden today due to the weather being dry one moment and then wet the next!

  1. It looks like you made the most of some decent weather this week. Our weather hasn’t been great, unfortunately! I definitely feel like we haven’t made the best of the holidays, but it’s so hard balancing the needs of a teenager and a 10yo, it’s sometimes easier to do nothing! x

Wow it looks like you have had some amazing weather! Lots of outdoor fun, looks like a great week off for the boys! Hope you have a good week x #project365

  3. So glad you got out this week following the illness – gah! I was thinking of you yesterday as we drove past Bideford and Barnstaple on our way home whilst thinking could my OH commute from down that way?!! Love your part of the world and so nice to see smiley chocolate covered boys 🙂

  4. Glad to hear the boys are feeling better. That looks like a proper bouldering centre, Kian goes every week and terrifies me as they don’t use safety lines

  5. Looks like you’ve had a lot of fun in the last week of your holidays. I can’t believe how grown up Burton looks! Chocolate orange brownies sound delish! x

  6. What a lovely holiday. We went to the beach and paddled in barefoot but it wasn’t warm enough to strip down to our pants haha. Your boys look like they have both really shot up lately xx

  7. Glad they are feeling better and you got out and about for some of the holidays.
The weather is a bit strange, one day warm enough to be on the beach in pants and the next cold enough to need jackets.
Love the chocolate covered face, the baking looks like it was fun

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
