So March is here and Spring is on the way, although with the brief snow fall yesterday maybe it is winter again!? Mind you the snow was more like sleet and only lasted for about 20 minutes, but even so the weather is still being odd and unpredictable.
This week looked a bit like this:
Sunday – poor Jenson had a sickness bug although we did not this until Monday (when we found out 7 members of staff had it and some more children!), and I was up from 1am with him being sick about twice an hour every hour until about 3pm. Bless him 🙁
Monday – Daddy’s 40th birthday which proved to be unexciting due to us having a poorly boy at home, which meant we couldn’t have the family round for tea in case we spread the bug germs! I did make a proper birthday cake (post to follow) but Jon decided to take it to work Tuesday, as Jenson wasn’t eating anyway and it seemed daft cutting 3 small slices! So I knocked up a quick batch of cupcakes so at least we had some cake!
Tuesday – Jenson still had one more day off school. Burton tried on some new clothes tonight – and jeans he is actually wearing jeans which is amazing as he hates them lol!
Wednesday – Catching up on some homework
Thursday – World Book day at school and Burton went as a playing card from Alice in Wonderland and Jenson as a monkey from Monkey Puzzle
Friday -look snow! It made the journey to school very exciting today.

Happy birthday to Daddy! Sorry to hear about the bug – it sounds like a really nasty one. The boys look lovely in their World Book Day costumes. Monkey Puzzle was the very first Julia Donaldson book we discovered (yes, even before The Gruffalo!) – we absolutely loved it and it wasn’t long before we’d bought them all!

I love the boys World Book Day outfits, they both look great. Sorry to hear that the sicky bug hit your house. Taylor was off at the end of the week too, the bug seems to be everywhere at the moment. Hope you have a good week x #project366

Oh no, at least he is feeling better. That bug is floating around. They both look great in their outfits 🙂 It took me years and years (20!) before I liked wearing jeans, there is just something about them…I’m still not the greatest fan…but they do hold up well to crawling on the floor at work!!

That bug sounds like the one that we had here a couple of weeks ago; literally half of Cheeky Chap’s school year were off school in one day recently. CC pretty much lives in jeans, as do I, although he tends to prefer tracksuit bottoms now (while I favour my PJs lol).

Happy birthday Daddy. Glad the little man is feeling better now, we have the lurgy here too

Glad the illness has gone and happy belated 40th to your man! My boy can’t stand jeans either – all he wants to wear is joggers, must be a comfort thing!

Oh dear poor Jenson. Glad the rest of didn’t get it. Looks like he recovered quickly – well enough to be pulling faces with his big brother.
Oh and Burton – you look very smart in your new clothes.

Oh poor little Jenson, you can see how tired he is in that sleeping photo, I hope that he’s recovered now and not passed it on to anyone else? Love their costumes for World Book Day, they really do embrace dressing up don’t they?
Thanks for linking up and apologies for the lack of comments recently, life has been a hard balancing act!
