It has been a real mix bag weather wise this week. One day we are dressed in summer attire once again, just as I think I should pack it away, but the next day it is wet and cold!
So this week saw Jenson’s first full week at school and he is enjoying it, but he does not like the fact that he has to go everyday and gets grumpy or upset as a result! I did have to leave him crying on Thursday after drop off which was not nice! Thursday saw Burton’s meet the teacher evening, and starting Monday his maths homework will need to be completed on line on a computer! Not sure if I am pleased about that or a little irked!
Anyway, while I contemplate how much times have changed since I was a girl, here is our week in photos:
Sunday
A trip to Instow for lunch, a play on the sand and an ice cream in glorious sunshine 🙂
Tuesday
Dry today so a trip to the park after school
Wednesday
Conker collecting after school
Thursday
Enjoying some chocolate, coconut and sweetcorn cookies as an after school snack (recipe on blog)

The weather has been so up and down here. We haven’t found any cookers yet but there is a tree at my mum and dads so we might have a look this week. Gorgeous pictures as always xx

We had maths homework on the computer this week too. I don’t think our local conkers are quite ripe yet.

Love the beach photo and love the way you’ve caught him mid-air in the rain! Hope Jenson gets used to school soon.

Ah I LOVE the conked collecting shot! It’s that time of year again 🙂 The weather really was diabolical wasn’t it? x

Awww poor Jenson! Hopefully he’ll settle as the weeks go on. It’s a big change for them. Not sure about the Math homework online. What if you don’t have a computer or tablet? I know it’s the day and age of technology but some good old fashioned paper worksheets are just as good if not better for them sometimes. x

I have given up with the weather this week, cant decide if I should wear a winter coat or shorts!

We’re missing homework at the moment as they’re changing something (for which I say “Hurrah!” as it’s so boring!) – I suspect ours will be computer based (not much fun for the families without computers though.. hmm!!)
We’ve got to do conker collecting soon – all we can see are the outer shells, think other kids are getting there first!

Those first couple of weeks of school can be hard can’t they – I remember leaving E in tears somedays. Let’s hope the weather is a bit more settled this week!

Aww hope Jenson has a much better week this week. It’s so hard when you know they’re upset. We have to pick Zs dinner online and it took me ages! And I work in IT!! 🙂

oh dear about not wanting to go every day, hope that settles down.
The weather has been changeable but at least it was the right way round with Sunday being nice and school day Monday being wet.
Nice to get them out to the park after school, another few weeks and it will be dark by then.
Homework on a computer – fine if everybody has one but there will be some without I would think

i hope your son settles into school soon, i refused to do homework with my kids as most of it was a result of the teacher talking through the lessons then the kids doing the written work at home
