Look – signs of autumn are upon us once again. Don’t get me wrong it is my favourite season, but I just feel it is a little early for the colder weather and for the leaves to be changing colour already! Oh well, now that the kids are back too school, all the Christmas stuff will be in the shops next week!!
So we tried to make the most of the first part of the week before Burton had to return to school on Thursday. I still cannot believe that the holidays have ended – it flew past and I was a little sad that it was back to school already!
Still, here is a look back at our week
We went for a bike ride to Whistlandpound on Sunday to blow the cobwebs away – the boys got very muddy!
A playdate at a friends house saw Burton make a new furry friend
Strawberry picking – almost didn’t squeeze it in, but we got there in the end!
Conkers – ’nuff said!
Back to school – Year 2 for Burton in Starfish now. Yikes !
Tree climbing in our garden
A spot of cricket with Grandad at the park in some warm sunshine!
I hope you had a lovely week xx

Wow that is a great haul of strawberries. It certainly does feel like autumn has arrived. The other day I even clicked on the heating for a while. Hope you have a good week x #project365

Strawberry picking – that’s what we didn’t get around to doing this year. I agree it’s too early for autumn – I’d like a little more summer warmth yet. Hope Burton had a good return to school.

great that you managed to spend the week outdoors, i was surprised to see you’d gone strawberry picking, I’d have thought the season was long over by now

I’m with you – how is it autumn already? Surely conkers should still be white and mushy now?
Lovely photos of your boys and hope the start of year 2 went well.

What a great week! Eeek conkers!! Already!! I do love Autumn though and I’m starting to feel very Christmassey! x

Love the fact your climbing a tree is proper climbing with rope etc. Better than our scramble up the fence alongside the tree at the farm.
The conkers by us are still white inside, and we’ve not got blackberries black yet.

Love the tree climbing!! And conkers already??! Noooooo! I do love autumn but I’m not quite ready for it! 🙂

Autumn really has sped up out of nowhere hasn’t it, it’s been really cold here since E started back at school. We never did get strawberry picking this year.

I saw our first conkers this week too – a true sign of autumn! I am very impressed with your tree-climbing setup!

we will need to go conker hunting as well, not be long till it is blackberry picking season.
I am surprised there are still strawberries available to pick.
Tree climbing with a rope is a bit different, not be long till you can get them abseiling with the same principle

Great photo of the boys in the tree.
Hope they had a good sample of the strawberries while they were picking them. 🙂
