Project 365 2015, Week 36

Well, sadly this ends the final whole week off school, because next Thursday Burton returns for his new school term, and I for one am sad that our summer (although, what summer???!!) holiday break is almost over 🙁

Still we have tried to make the most of this week, and despite the rubbish weather, again, for a few days anyway, we still had a packed week. The boys enjoyed a sleepover at my Mum’s and went to the donkey sanctuary for one of the days but the rest of the week we did the following:

Prepping for Sunday roast

A late afternoon trek to the park after a wet morning (where we bumped into a friend and her children who we have not seen for 2 years, which was a lovely surprise!)

We had an Ice Age party (post to follow) and we explored the wonders of ice – here is Burton’s see-through eye patch

We went to Bristol on a Shaun the Sheep hunt

and now we are back home and I am really, really hoping that the next 4 days pass by very, very slowly!!!

Hope you have had a good week x

  1. Looks like you had a good last week. I can’t believe the holidays have just flown by so so quickly. We’ve had a good 7 weeks and I don’t know where they’ve gone!

  2. I’m sad that H is back on Thursday too. I’d happily have another few weeks of fun time. That said, my work is piling up & the kitchen cupboards are bare.

Amen to that! Even though my kids are ready to go back to school (and have been driving me mad with arguing!), I’m still sad the holidays are nearly over.
Looks like you had a great week. You can’t beat Shaun hunting!

  4. Hope you saw lots of Shauns’. Everytime we thought of popping to Bristol it rained..and you have to have a lot of stamina to spot a lot of them in one day!!
I’ve not been to Bristol Zoo in years..used to love going there.

  5. Looks like a nice few days away. You would not get me up that far off the ground.
Would love for the Shaun or Paddingtons to come near here, they look very interesting.
Ooohhh a posh hotel with a pool….how lovely.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
